Do Satanists really give nuts "the bum's rush"???

LaVey claimed that nuts were given "the bum's rush" when trying to join the Church of Satan, but clearly nut was in the eye of the beholder. LaVey has admited to holding a "Cannibal feast" of a human leg in at least 3 books. The Satanic Bible &Satanic Rituals certainly describe many things most normal people would consider pychotic such as Nude girl is used as an altar (Satanic Bible, Satanic Rituals)A human skull is used in Die Elektrischen Vorspiele ritual (Satanic Rituals, p. 109)Human leg bone or arm bone is used in Homage to Tchort ritual (p.137)
Woman dressed as nun urinates before group into a bedpan in the Black Mass ritual (p.43) Urine is then sprinkled like holy water (p.44)Man climbs into coffin with nude woman (or nude man if he is gay) in Le Epais ritual (p.59).

All this stuff sounds like things psychotics would do.

Also consider Richard "The Night Stalker" Ramirez and Susan "Manson Family" Atkins were also CoS members, and it makes ya wonder, don't it now?

Well then you need to do some research "Enslayve Me". She was involved in the early stages of CoS and even appeared in a goofy nightclub act with LaVey before graduating to being a Manson killer.

It makes me think that most these so-called Satanists are nothing more than bored counterculturalists with no real faith in a higher power behind their "religion". Just a litany of hedonistic rituals with no significance other than to satisfy sexual kinks or urges that have been outlawed in most societies (such as cannibalism).

And as for anyone who might be aware of rituals of genuine significance, they mostly likely don't fully understand what they're getting themselves into. If they wanna go over to the dark side out of ignorance, be my guest....but if it gets them into trouble (in this life or the next), then they'll just have to suffer through the consequences.

That's strange, I didn't think the Church of Satan was even established before Susan Atkins was imprisoned. Also, if you think the Satanic rituals are a bit psychotic you should consider the fact that they were set up that way, to mirror Christianity's own "Psychotic" rituals. And the Ceremony of The Stifling Air, in which two people climb into a coffin, was taken almost verbatim from a ritual performed by the Freemasons, a Christian society.

I find the thought of drinking the blood of a 2000 yr. old dead carpenter to be a bit psychotic, so before you judge others perhaps you should take a look at your own religious beliefs.

I went to two Professional workshops some years ago about childhood sexual abuse and the things that I heard there related to Satanic cults would curl your hair. Nothing would surprise me. Nothing. Also according to the presenter the cults have infiltrated higher in administrative fields that I care to say publicly. Very scary.

there are several different sections of satanism that vary greatly.
there are extremeists that are the "anti christian" type, that sounds like what you're describing
there are also the "we are our own gods" type that believes in worshipping onesself
and then there are the type that simply believe that Lucifer was right and he was equal to god.
