dude, I thought about stalin, mao etc...but those were just insane dictators who killed for power and greed. I don't believe they actually declared war to defend or spread atheism. They are no different that insane christian leaders of the crusades.

The Nazi's actually worked hand in hand with the local church leaders (sanctioned by the vatican) to track down jews. The anti-semitism stemed from hundreds of years earlier during Midievel christian times where Jews were persecuted, jailed
and murdered BY christians for denying christ as the Messiah.

Dr. Zoom Zoom: WRONG, WRONG....yes they were atheists, However they didn't declare wars in the name of atheism....The were crazy, greedy, dictators....kind of like the leaders of the crusades who declared war and killed people BECAUSE of their faith or lack of faith. Sure you can find some crazy atheists out there, but I defy you to find any that declare war in the name of atheism.

You mean the Communist Revolution?
Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, Il Jong, Cercesceau, were athiests, and they and their followers caused an estimated 100 million deaths.
Musolini was also an atheist according to his close associates and Hilter's god was German Nationalism (although they publicly gave lip services to Christianity until they could concievably do away with it)
Just because someone is an athiest doesn't mean they will somehow be better than religious fanatics.

Nope, sorry, you're not off the hook that easy. You're whole point is somehow atheists are SO much better than people who have religion. They're not. In the absence of morals, the atheistic communist and facists were animals.
The crusades were 1000 years ago. The Communist and Facist holocausts were in the last century. Shouldn't the atheists have learned from the Diests mistake if they are somehow so much smarter?

Read Hitler's Table Talk, Inside The Third Reich, and the memoirs of Albert Speer. Hitler was not a Christian, he believed in Germany and German racism. The Nazis had a plan to eliminate Christianity completely (Kirchenkampf) had they won the war

He was an atheist. Deal with it. Besides Stali, Mao, etc., were all atheists (communism is anti-Semetic as well), and spread an ATHEISTIC belief system called communism.

How about this for a point. How many people that have committed atrocities hidden behind the skirts of religion? Or used the machanics of a religion to recruit followers.
Most of them, I would say. (The exception being Hitler who was, at best, luke warm in his declared beliefs)

You could make a weak argument that Stalin was an atheist who did what he did out of atheism. I would say he was probably a Communist fascist first, and Atheist, second, and I blame his political views, not his supernatural views.

As for you fourth question there have been many atheists in the name of Communism for example who have kill other for not following their views.
