Is that why Muslim men have to ablute (purificational wash) for prayer if they are touched by a woman? CAIRO GUIDE, the American University in Cairo's famous tourist handbook, says a woman shouldn't embarass a man by making him shake hands with her, since he will have to ablute again. Is this true?

Muhammad, thank you for that long, dull, and COMPLETELY irrelevant two pages you copy-pasted from some Islamic site to try and shut me up. What, do you mass-produce that kind of response to run away from any criticism?

The permanent committee of decree was asked the following question:
Does touching or shaking hand with a though it is mentioned that shaking hand with such a woman is a sin we find that some books of religion say that touching a women (who can married by the greeter) invalidates ablution sin, we fin though it is mentioned that shaking hand with such a woman is a sin, we find that some gooks of religion say that touching a women does not invalidate ablution these books did not restrict or prohibit it does this mean that a man who is ablated can touch or shake hand with any women ?
Scholars agree that touching or shaking hand with a women whether marriageable because according to religion the Factors which are invalidate ablution however regarding the ureic verse which says “or ye have been in contact with women…” [6:7] the tern contact ” means Jimaa (sexual intercourse with the wife).

hey ??-Muhammad does this stupid thing to all who question or comment .I myself have read something like that question of yours. I myself have questioned that before. To be honest, with all the footage on TV, how women are beaten, killed ,and disposed of, it doesn't leave much for the imagination what a woman is worth in the middle east.
we give live."I have done it" .I could not think of anything more beautiful than that.but for Muslims we are only a possession.

Thats ridiculous !!....Islam states that a woman is the same as a man; IN ALL THINGS... as to your question, the only reasons for a Muslim to have to do ablution again are: 1. Discharge from sexual organs; 2. Going to the restroom 3. Sleep. 4. Eating (even though some scholars say that rinsing the mouth after eating is enough) 5. Blasphemy 6. Kissing or other inappropriate DIRECT contact with a women
I don't what the American University in Cairo is talking about or when their pamphlet was published but I think what they might be talking about is that if a woman (if shes that hot ! lol !) touches a man's hand when he is in a state of ablution he might get the "wrong" sort of thoughts about her...

well some say yes it is and others say it depends on the intention of the man, if he's having a bad intention while shaking hands with a woman then he should go and wash again so he can perform prayers (this is in the case of shaking hands)
there r some ideologies that follow case #1 and others follow case# 2...u can choose which ideology u wanna be with...i'm with case number 2....

islam just like judaism and christianity has its own set or religious rulings. the difference being islam being the final heavenly-revealed religion is a complete way of life that is it has rulings and reglutions pertaining to all spheres of our lives - social, political, economic. islam is therefore a complete way of life guiding mankind to a better life in this world and hereafter. on the question of women being impure, this is absolutely rubbish. islam accords women with the highest honour and status. islam teaches that paradise is under the feet of our mothers, so how come we can dishonour women when the way to paradise is our women's perogative! the information given in the book is wrong and should be rectified to prevent misunderstanding.

I dont call it impure, cos women who make me need to 'ablute' again is the type of women who i can be married to. ( they are not my mahram )
Women who can touch me and doesnt cause me to performed ablution again is the one I'm not allowed to be married to eg: mother, sister, aunts etc. ( they are called my mahram )
Know wha i mean.

And of His Signs is that He has created wives for you from among yourselves that you may find peace of mind in them, and He has put love and tenderness between you. In that, surely, are Signs for a people who reflect.
Holy Quran
Adultery is considered a sin in all religions.
“If a man commits adultery with his neighbour's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.” (Lev. 20:10).
Islam also equally punishes both the adulterer and the adulteress:
“(As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement.”(24:2).
However, the Qur’anic definition of adultery is very different from the Biblical definition. Adultery, according to the Qur’an, is the involvement of a married man or a married woman in an extramarital affair. The Bible only considers the extramarital affair of a married woman as adultery.
"If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel" (Deuteronomy 22:22).
"If a man commits adultery with another man's wife both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death" (Leviticus 20:10).
“To keep you from your neighbour's wife, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress. Lust not in your heart after her beauty, let her not captivate you with her glance! For the price of a loose woman may be scarcely a loaf of bread, But if she is married, she is a trap for your precious life. Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his garments not burned? Or can a man walk on live coals, and his feet not be scorched? So with him who goes in to his neighbour's wife-- none who touches her shall go unpunished.” (Proverbs, 6:24-:29).
According to the Biblical definition, if a married man sleeps with an unmarried woman, this is not considered a crime at all. The married man who has extramarital affairs with unmarried women is not an adulterer and the unmarried women involved with him are not adulteresses. The crime of adultery is committed only when a man, whether married or single, sleeps with a married woman. In this case the man is considered adulterer, even if he is not married, and the woman is considered adulteress. In short, adultery is any illicit sexual intercourse involving a married woman. The extramarital affair of a married man is not per se a crime in the Bible.
Why is the dual moral standard? According to Encyclopaedia Judaica, the wife was considered to be the husband's possession and adultery constituted a violation of the husband's exclusive right to her; the wife as the husband's possession had no such right to him.
That is, if a man had sexual intercourse with a married woman, he would be violating the property of another man and, thus, he should be punished. To the present day in Israel, if a married man indulges in an extramarital affair with an unmarried woman, his children by that woman are considered legitimate. But, if a married woman has an affair with another man, whether married or not married, her children by that man are not only illegitimate but they are considered bastards and are forbidden to marry any other Jews except converts and other bastards. This ban is handed down to the children's descendants for ten generations until the taint of adultery is presumably weakened.
The Qur’an, on the other hand, never considers any woman to be the possession of any man. The Qur’an eloquently describes the relationship between the spouses by saying:
“And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them and He has put love and mercy between your hearts: verily in that are signs for those who reflect" (30:21).
This is the Qur’anic conception of marriage: love, mercy, and tranquillity, not possession and double standards
