What u think?

I believe that if there is a god (and I believe there is) he would never let a evil angel (Satan) torcher us for eternaty. I believe that the early church pushed this idea to scare us into church. God would be no better than the leader of North Korea when he says do as I say or else you would be pushed. God is better than that, don't you think?

The term paranoia is usually used to describe excessive concern about one's own well-being, sometimes suggesting a person holds persecutory beliefs concerning a threat to themselves or their property and is often linked to a belief in conspiracy theories.

Why are so many people on here interested in trying to prove a Christian's belief wrong?

Why is it that when a Christian voices their opinion about their belief that non-believers say "They're shoving it down our throats?"
Have you not ever stood firm about something YOU believe in?

Why do you peg all Christians to be the same when all of their beliefs are not the same?

When you say things like "All Christians......" Isn't that like saying "All whites are....." or "All blacks are ......" Are you not stereotyping?

If you are not a Christian and don't want to ever be a Christian, then why do some of you continously post questions that try discredit the bible? If you don't believe in it, then really, is it possible for you to understand it, no matter how well it is spelled out for you?

These are just a few questions that have been bothering me about yahoo answers. I think some people here take advantage and try to harm the spirit of others any way they can. Do you agree?

when did those misconceptions start, and who started them?

This was mentioned by a friend and it just totally got me going so I'm gonna table it here:

If Creationism / Intelligent Design is going to teach in our schools (as decided in some U.S. cities) that the idea that the Earth was created in 6 days ~6000 years ago is just as valid as evolution (as it was told in the bible); then they should teach the other creation myths along side as being JSUT as valid! Like the Greek or Hindu creation myths. After all, not everyone is Christian right?

What do you think about this equality-based proposal?

to convince people that God created us all equal? This is what convinced many people that they had to change their hearts and begin seeing that all men are created equal.

in neighbouring countries. They have no income and are not allowed to work .It`s been estimated that close to a million of them are Iraqi christians ,who can no longer live in Iraqi because of the threat from the Shia militias thought to be controlled by government officials
Should at least the Christian ones be allowed to re settle in America as before the invasion they where safe but now because of the regime change they will be killed if they go back

In the contemporary world, different animals and plants live in different places. Why is there the present distribution of animals and plants in the world? For example, how is it that marsupials are restricted to Australia and nearby islands and the Americas, monotremes to Australia and nearby islands, and few placental mammals are native to Australia? Or why are tomatoes and potatoes native to the Americas ONLY? (This is not a question merely of how they could have arrived there, it is also of why ONLY there. And remember, these animals and plants do quite well surviving in other parts of the world).

God has given everybody a purpose, but it's up to us to go to Him in prayer and ask what its is.

why are atheists so stereotypical?

1) The Bible does not prove that God is not a Trinity. IT PROVES THE OPPOSITE! God's word goes to extensive measures to prove that Jesus, Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are ONE.

2) Muslims and Christians do not share the same God. The word may be the same in arabic, but they have Different Characteristics
Allah is not tri-unified (special word) nor is he intersted in a personal relationship with his people. God on the other hand, is and is.

3) Christians are treated badly all over the world. Do you honestly believe the hundreds of lives taken are taken in vain? that Christians are all ignorant morons? No man has yet paralleled Eistein and he was theistic. Try telling your boyfriend or girlfriend they're a moron for believing in Christ. Se how that goes...

sorry, just had to get that off my chest. and I wouldn't really suggest trying that last thing
