First of all, your boyfriend shouldn't be upset at your daughter going to a non-Catholic church. For Catholics, it is a sin for couples to live together if they are not married through the church. So, I don't see why he should discriminate against another church if he himself isn't keeping the recommendations of his church. I think as long as the purpose is to teach the little girl about God, then it shouldn't matter the denomination of the church. Later when she's old enough to understand, maybe she can pick if she wants to be Catholic of Protestant.

I would encourage your boyfriend to become more active in his faith and go to church. It seems important enough to him when his daughter in involved, so I think he needs to take her to the Catholic Church.

You and your boyfriend should both take your daughter to both churches together. Don't put it off on someone else. PEACE!!!

Catholic is Christian. The early Christians were Catholics. it truly is in historic past. Take her to a Catholic Church, then you supplies you her the fullness of fact of the Christian faith. A non-Catholic sect may have component to the fact. however the Catholic Church has the total fact of the Christian faith because the authority of the Catholic Church comes from Jesus Himself who exceeded down His own authority to Peter and the different apostles and to their successors the bishops, extraordinarily the Bishop of Rome (aka the Pope). .

You as a parent decide your initial eduction of the young, but once they grow a brain they will do as they choose, whether you or he like it or not.

HE better start getting used to it, for THEY could decide to go homosexual, conservative, liberal, greenpeace, catholic, muslim or atheist.

AND, here's the harsh one, their CHOICE will probably be based on their SIGNIFICANT OTHER.

Reality. You can chose you way of life. You can choose your parnter. You can choose your beliefs. BUT you can't choose your offsprings significant other. THEY do that!

I don't think it would hurt for her to go, but without strife. I don't mean this in a forward way, but if your boyfriend is so serious about the Catholic beliefs, why hasn't he married you?

If he wants her to be exposed to Catholicism, he should take her.

Meanwhile, you come from a different faith. She can be exposed to both and, when she is older, make up her own mind which (if either) she wants to take part in.
