Christians-
1) Christians are not blind followers (at least TRUE Christians aren't)
2) Tons of questions are asked, and tons of questions are answered.
3) What's wrong with being a good Christian/soldier/PERSON? Why is that bad???
4) Christians are not brain-dead (or at least TRUE Christians aren't), so we don't do as we're told without thinking.
5) What the heck does "massive recruiting" mean???? Since when do Christians come to church by the 1,000's, 100's, or even 10's in a group?
6) Since when do Christians want to destroy the opposition????? That's Islamic fascists by friend, sorry.
Military-
1) What do you mean "blind following?" Soldiers are not brain dead. Nor are they stupid (the majority at least). They don't just blow themselves up for no reason. That''s Islamic fascists my friend, sorry.
2) Again, questions are asked/answered.
3) Again, what's wrong with being a good soldier/Christian/PERSON???? Since when is that bad???
4) Soldiers do think. And did you clean your room without REALLY pondering what you were doing? "Do I have any scientific proof that my room is dirty?" But soldiers WILLINGLY join the army, therefore your argument in no longer valid.
5) Yes, the military is recruited in large numbers. That's what it takes to win a war. You won't beat any formidable enemy with 4,000 troops my friend. Sorry, but it's a fact.
6) Um, the whole point of the military is to beat the enemy. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF WAR! To defend what you have when the enemy is warlike and violent. So, you want to lose?
You have some real issues my friend. Apparently you hate (which comes from IGNORANCE) Christians and the military. You really need to rethink what you are doing with your life, because it looks like you need to go BACK to college and take some REAL theology classes.
Try purchasing a Bible and an American flag. It could help you.
God bless you and yours.
"massive recruiting????"\

If we were at war, a war that was taking place right here in the United States. Fighting armies everywhere (bring to mind the pictures you have seen in war movies where death, destruction, havoc everywhere) would you hope that the United States military was as you described above?? A Christian is not a "non" thinker. Your comment is an insult. Christians are DESTROYING who and what opposition? Are Christians putting a gun to the head of anyone that doesn't believe as they do??
There were wars recorded in the Bible. Is war something new on the scene? I think that in most cases it was the
Christian that was the oppressed and not the oppressor. Jesus-was He the battling, killer, terrorist? Or, did He do good, harmed no one but was killed (crucified) for it? Was He the killer or the one that was killed?

No, there is no blind following. While it may appear to be so, it isn't. A church leader who is honest will teach his people to understand what they believe and why. If he is really well studied, then other studies will be brought in to uphold what is believed. Did you know that archeology is actually being a supporter of the Bible for Historical information? It's true, archeology is doing a lot to prove that things stated in the Bible are in fact true. A person has the right to believe, or to disbelieve. It is not the duty of a Christian to force their belief on others. In fact, the Bible says we are to live in peace with others that by our testimony, others might come to believe.
Now if you want a truly militant religion, take a look at Islam. If that is of interest to you, then consider that they believe that women are inferior to men. Why teach then (women) anything because they are incapable of learning anything. For a man to truly follow the way of the prophet, he should have 11 wives, one of whom must be a 9 year old. Yep, it's true, get the book "Unveiling Islam" and read it for yourself. The book was written by 2 Pakistani brothers who were raised in Islam. They became Christians and both now teach at American universities. Islam destroys the opposition, Christianity does not. What our government decides to do is not of the Christian faith. It is of their own design, and not because of anything Christian.

Neither asks one to do ANYTHING without thinking. A soldier is not an automaton. A soldier doing things without thinking might be given an illegal order, and would be responsible, as well as his or her superior, for those actions.
Christianity does't call for the destruction of opposition, though some individual christians or sects do.
In either case, there is no such thing as unthinking and blind action with the exception of certain cults.

Since you want to compare from a military standpoint, let's take a look at God's commands to the officers in the army in Deuteronomy 20:5-9:
"The officers shall say to the army: 'Has anyone built a new house and not dedicated it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may dedicate it. Has anyone planted a vineyard and not begun to enjoy it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else enjoy it. Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her.' Then the officers shall add, 'Is any man afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his brothers will not become disheartened too.' When the officers have finished speaking to the army, they shall appoint commanders over it."
Sounds to me like God gave those who wanted to back out of fighting every opportunity to do so. Doesn't sound like your scenario at all now does it? These soldiers didn't need massive numbers to win, they just needed God on their side.
God doesn't FORCE anyone to follow Him. He fully respects our free-will to choose for ourselves because He is the giver of that free-will. He doesn't want someone following Him grudgingly but willingly. It is an honor to serve the living God.
And we all need to be a little more thankful to those who serve in our military. They are the ones who have selflessly bled and died so that we could enjoy the freedoms we so often take for granted.

Actually if you were in any way familiar with the Christians book (the bible) then you would know that Christians are encouraged to ask questions about their belief, to find out what is right.
I totally agree about the military being that way though

No, we save lives they kill. I don't see the similarity there. A soldier kills the enemy, while a real, Christian with the Spirit of Jesus, loves his enemy. Is just not the same. A lot of people have the wrong idea of what Christianity is.

The similarity lies only on its disciplines. The soldiers and the religion followers should obey and implement the instruction of their commander and their religion teacher or ustadz..Ustadz should base his instruction on the holy book.If his instruction is against with the holy book his followers can deny it.We can not follow it with blind eyes.

Your so wrong. War is always a fight over resources. Whatever religioin is more popular within the society, than it is used for the purpose to have more join in the war.
