in neighbouring countries. They have no income and are not allowed to work .It`s been estimated that close to a million of them are Iraqi christians ,who can no longer live in Iraqi because of the threat from the Shia militias thought to be controlled by government officials
Should at least the Christian ones be allowed to re settle in America as before the invasion they where safe but now because of the regime change they will be killed if they go back

Frankly ,i am thinking what i said most Arabic countries who can afford refugees are sunni ,like Qatar Saudi UAE ,They should take the sunnis in but they wouldn`t take all those Christians .and they can`t be all left as they are with nothing ,its morally wrong .the whole thing is moraly wrong

well as a christian, i believe all life is equal so i don't see why Christians should take precedence over the Muslims.
sometimes, i just wish muslims would see it this way and stop treating their non-muslim minorities so badly.

Ok.... time out. You have facts that are wrong.
I am in Iraq right now. I have spoken to Iraqi Christians, including a priest. Yes, they're getting persecuted, but I have personally been told, by a priest, that they are better off now than under Saddam.
There are not 5 million refugees living in makeshift camps. I don't know where you are getting those numbers. There have been around 1.7 million people who have left, but to say they are in makeshift camps is not really true. Some probably are. But I also know that many have moved away to live in other places, some with relatives in other countries, etc., and have housing. Some of those numbers reflect Baathists who have left and are living in fine conditions.
As for settling them in America: no, you can't move hundreds of thousands of Iraqis to the US. They have to have a situation where they can live in peace, back in their home country. The solution isn't just to move them to the US. The answer is to facilitate the peace process and strengthen their nation so they can have a safe country.
If course, it would be a lot easier if Islam was actually the religion of peace, but I think we've already settled that question!

First of all they were not safe before the invasion as evident by the 200,000 grave sites. Second Christians are never safe in an islamic country. Any muslim who converts to Christianity is under a death sentence from the family. Third yes! USA should take the Christians because of persecution.

I admire you immensely for your compassion, intelligence and ingenuity. The answer is YES! This country has to do something positive for the Iraqi people. We allowed that monster in Washington to destroy that country, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives lost, and now we have to do the right thing and assist as many of those people as we can. Asylum in America is an excellent idea!

What is morally wrong is that religion divides people. All that can be seen is the religious tag that people wear.
Perhaps the USA, and the UK, should open their doors to all Iraqis. Consider it a gesture of humanitarian good will......
