No. Martin Luther King Jr. was an amazing man, and I don't fault him, or anyone else, for his beliefs, or in his using them for good. Weather you believe we were made by a god or we evolved, we were all created equal, and he knew that.

Lincoln was a racist and said horrible things about black people being lesser then the white man. Of course he was a victim of his time but do not make him out to be a person that said that. And we arent really all created equal all of us have evolved completely differently. Retards are not created equal for example. But i do beleive we should all have the same rights something all atheists beleive. Less religious people beleive that then atheists.

I guess that it took a blatant comment from a Christian to appeal to Christians. Most Atheists already believe that people are equal because they don't have to look at the Bible telling them that they aren't.
The Bible supports slavery. The Bible says that women are worth 1/2 as much as men, and children less than parents. It goes so far as to put a monetary value on them. It blatantly says that not everyone is equal.

no, I do not. Although there are plenty of other examples of people using the Bible and their definition of God to perpetrate crimes: Charles Manson, David Koresh, Jim Jones, etc etc.
I would also point out that it was not necessarily belief in God that brought about these changes. One could just as easily argue that it was a cultural perception of humanity that caused these changes.

What? God did not create us all equal.
We are NOT created equal. that is a lie if there ever were one.
Think about it.
Surely the baby born without a face and a partial brain is not as well off as one born perfectly to a wealthy family, and due to good breeding, born with intelligence, great personality and great looks.
Sure we all diserve life, liberty and the persuit of happiness, but NO,
we are NOT created equal.

Lincoln and King new GOD and proclaimed civil liberties based on their relationship with GOD. Man's objection is no concern for what transpired. Man's belief or lack of is the problem.

No. People have a right to their belief systems. King didn't try to make his belief in God law, to which I would object; I've never objected to someone's right to free speech, though.
