You are saying the same thing if you say that Jesus is God or if you say Jesus is the Son of God. They mean the same thing and that is; Jesus Christ is God. Any Christian who denies this basic truth, that Jesus is God, is not a Christian and should re-read the Bible or figure out why they don't have His truth.

Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14). He is fully God and fully man (Col. 2:9) thus, He has two natures: God and man. He is not half God and half man. He is 100% God and 100% man. He never lost his divinity. He existed in the form of God and when He became a man, He added human nature to Himself (Phil. 2:5-11). Therefore, there is a "union in one person of a full human nature and a full divine nature."Right now in heaven there is a man, Jesus, who is Mediator between us and God the Father (1 Tim. 2:5). Jesus is our advocate with the Father (1 John 2:1). He is our Savior (Titus 2:13). He is our Lord (Rom. 10:9-10). He is not, as some cults teach, an angel who became a man (Jehovah's Witnesses) or the brother of the devil (Mormonism). He is wholly God and wholly man, the Creator, the Redeemer. He is Jesus.

That truth is spread throughout the Bible. "In the beginning was
the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God".
(John 1:1) is the clearest to me. The rest of that chapter makes
it even plainer.
A Christian is a Christ-follower..an individual who has accepted
Jesus as his/her saviour and the Lord of his/her life. One cannot truly believe in Jesus without believing that He is God.
The term Christian is too loosely tied only to those who go to
church or who have a religion or who are moral and upright.
Christianity is all that ....but it is so much more. At its core, is a belief in, and a personal relationship with, Jesus Christ.
