In general, when there is no evidence for something either way, what do you assume? For example, watching Lord of the Rings, you see elves. You have no evidence that they exist or don't exist, but don't you assume they are false? Why? Why is it that any time we something that we don't have evidence for (unicorns, dragons, etc), we assume they are false. I have no evidence that someone didn't just deposit 1 million dollars in my bank account, but I don't expect to find the money in there. But not God. Why believe in God without evidence, but reject everything else? I am honestly confused. I don't understand faith. I wish I had more faith in myself, but faith in general is very difficult for me. I think Jesus's philosophy in the bible is great, but he seems obviously fictional to me.
