What's the difference between hacking someone to death and dropping a multi-million $ bomb on a crowd of men/women/children? - There is no difference, the 2 acts are Evil and committed by people claiming to be on the right side of God.
Man has an inherent propensity to kill (caveman instinct for survival in which we will kill to compete in securing scarce resources). Religion and a belief system (Christianity, Islam, Hindu, Jewish, etc) have developed to provide the moral code to enable us to develop and coexist and are all based on a doctrine of peace and forgiveness. However, a small number of people are still evil and twisted, and regardless how much they say they are religious and pious, they will still do evil acts to further their own selfish needs , but using their religion as a convenient badge to justify their acts.
The moral of the answer is that all religions are good, its man who is evil.

that is ridiculous. i am catholic. but no-one has ever tried to accuse me of any IRA bombings, and i'd laugh in their face of they did. why should the actions of a few muslim extremists, who cannot say they are acting in the name of any God, give a beautiful religion with many good devout followers a bad name? that is ignorance of the highest degree. if you're a christian, it's only in name. you clearly lack some of the major qualities that are required to truly call yourself a christian.
the only thing that is destroying our beautiful world is ignorance, hatred, a lack of empathy or compassion and arrogance, not islam. and all of these things are clearly displayed in the question that you have so idiotically asked. so before you start flinging your accusations around, maybe take a long hard look in the mirror.

It is unfair to say that all muslims are crazy killers as this is not true. There are extremists in all religions and beliefs but much is perpetrated in the name of religion when genuine religion has nothing to do with it. There is an aspect to islam that seems to be intolerant of others and uncompromising but not all muslims buy into this. I have studied and taught Islam and other religions and have observed that while muslims insist on others observing their religious rites etc they do not always give the same courtesy to others. It is a big topic, with lots of grey areas and lots one could debate into the night. I would say to the asker of this question, beware of sweeping generalisations, you can safeguard your own beliefs without compromising or dogging others. Take care.

Forgotten what the Spanish did in America? They were good christians in their book too. And not to mention the Inquisition. Get of your high and mighty chair and read some history dear devout christian. And then you might care to ponder what the world would be like had the Romans not converted to christianity but islam instead. Can't remember exactly which emperor it was though.
So where is the joke he?

Hi, i'm Lauren, i might know that much of the world yet, but i know alot on what's happening to it.
Most of these anwers are the same. Some say yes, maybe because their not afriad to admit or they are angry. Some say no, maybe because they feel just a tiny bit scared of what other people think(even though they wouldn't admit it), or maybe that is their answer that they lived with and never stop believing in it.
Religion is believing, just because you might not agree with something doesn't mean that it's evil or 100% correct with it in anyway.
My answer is going to be different than others. Not a "yes" but also not a "no".
Some people of Islam have done bad things(that may make them even the tiniest bit of evil)in their past, But haven't we all?
It's not Islam that you should blame, i personally think that you should blame the people that actually done the mistakes(mainly known as terrorists).
I apologise in future reference, but some people's anwers do sound a bit silly or "overdone".(mind you, i can't say much because mine like a whole essay).
I do think that you should folow your own opinion because that's what seperates us and make religions.
I'm not sure to your question, but what do you think?
Either:
Yes,
or
No,
?

Not all of them are, its just a few cowards that lie to others to get them to do the work they were to scared to do, not all Muslims are bad, what would you call a Nun who would use a belt on young children because they had not something wrong, because it used to happen a lot, might still do so how is that good for God, and is that not evil.

Yes. Islam is a religion in the sense of Druidism, black Witchdraft worship of the Harkey Davidson Motorcycle or of Millwall football club, beople believe in it,.
Its members are not religious in the sense of benign tolerant religious Christian or Jewish people.

Change the record there has been enough of this nonsense on here allready. Islam is not evil. there are only evil people making it seem like it is. And if you go along with that, then you are just as evil yourself. I am non religious myself but have respect for people who are religious, no matter what that maybe.
