The premise of the question is somewhat faulty. Christianity is a monotheistic religion centered on Jesus of Nazareth and his life, death, resurrection, and teachings as presented in the New Testament. Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament, thus He is worshipped (Jesus worship). With an estimated 2.1 billion adherents in 2001, Christianity is the world's largest religion.
Not sure who you are referring to when you suggest "you guys" should go to another section...because, in fact, Christianity IS a religion...so this seems to be the most logical place for questioners on Christianity to congregate. The statement "most of you are extremely political people" is a stab in the dark. I would suggest that many Christians are political, but it doesn't logically follow that "most" are. From whence do you arrive at this conclusion?

Religion is a codified set of beliefs involving a deity and laws given to govern the conduct of humans basically. Given this as a definition, why wouln't Christianity be considered a religion. Where did you arrive at your assessment that Christianity is NOT a religion. It meets the criteria described in Wikipedia.
Are not most religions also political in nature? ALL are.

When Jesus came down to die for us, the ten commandments that was used to judged was no more relevant. Just like sacrificing a sheep on an altar is dicarded when jesus came. Religion is a set of rules that people follow in order to get into heaven. Because of Jesus, we are serving a LIVING God as a result of His ressurection on easter sunday. The ten commandments that was used was no more relevant as it is stated in the bible. God came to earth to form this new covenant(agreement) that whosoever believes in Him will not die but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
U know why Its fount in the religion section??? where else do u want to put it under??? This is a "topic" like no other......u want the bookstore to purposely put up an extra section for LIVING RELATIONSHIPS WITH A GOD????? :D

Christianity is a religion.
It forms the vehicle by which we express our relationship to Jesus Christ.
Religion gets no one into heaven. Only Jesus does that.
This section is the appropriate forum.

You are rather confused, Christianity is a religion, atheisism and agnosticism are not but that does not mean we atheists do not have views on religion which we like to share with others, quite the contrary.

Not a religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
God's Word is not a religion but a reality.
