Our mind's weren't enlightened obviously when we were born. But as we become aware of certain truths we either accept them or deny them. Atheism is a hard stand for anyone to defend. For example when we see a painting we know obviously there was a painter even though we might not see him. When we see a building the evidence of the building tells us there was a builder and designer even though they might not be present. When you look around this world and see all the amazing things there are. When we examine how are bodies work and function how our eyes receive light and transfer that information to our brain and all the processing.... There must have been a Creator. My great grand pappy wasn't some slime on a rock 500 billion years ago. There has never been a successful experiment by modern science that has added information to anything! let alone evolved slime to what we are today.. come on..you're in denial.

Wow, i'm going to pray for you because God the Father has a purpose for you even if you dont believe.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:1,4-5)
In those verses the Lord is telling Jeremiah that prior to his birth, he was known by the Lord. Some people say this scripture is a reference to the omniscience of God, for God does know everything and everyone. However, if we look carefully at that verse, we realize God is talking about something more than just his omniscience. The key words in verse 5 are ordained and prophet. God not only knew Jeremiah prior to his birth but he ordained him a prophet. The Hebrew word translated ordained is nâthan which means to give or bestow. The verses tell us God knew Jeremiah and gave him the office of prophet before he was born, indicating Jeremiah lived prior to his birth and received a calling from God.

God , by his foreknowledge, created some people for hell and some for paradise and he gave us a will. and whatever we will do we would not escape our destiny.
God knows already what we would do, when we will die and what will be our abode.
God is just, he will not put somebody in hell that doesn't merit it. Also whatever man can do of good or worship we can say nothing until he dies and will be resurected, then we will see if he is from people of paradise or eternal hellfire.
God says in the Quran < that some people in the day of judgment and from the people of hellfire will be looking for others they thought that they will be with them, but they will find them in paradise.
God says in the Quran < If you do good, you do it for yourself, if you do wrong you are harming nobody but yourself...>
I can't judge you, but may God guide you. may be this is guidance from God don't lose it.
if you have any question just ask, there is no harm in that.
I have one question for you. If you die now and discover that you were wrong, and that eternal hellfire is the destiny, so how can you gamble and don't try to learn more. If christianity doesn't convince you or other believes. did you try Islam?
for help, here is some article

It is not possible to be born an atheist. It is your personal philosophy determined only after weighing the other possibilities. If your parents are atheists and therefore you are too, you are a lemming.

Everyone is born atheist. Most just get scooped into a religion pretty soon after birth.

I am atheist not by choice but by rationality. I want to believe in God but I can't, I am just too logical. Who does not want to believe they have an omnipotent, benevolent friend on their side, who will wisk them to heaven? I want to believe. Is ignorance not bliss? Well, that is what I get for having two master's degrees. I'd like to believe in Santa Claus too, free presents! I keep asking God to bend metal objects for me, but he won't do it. Not very nice of him, considering he is supposed to be benevolent.
