I'm pissy tonight, so if i act assholish... (or more assholish then usual), sorry about that.

`just getting it out of the way now.

I'll try to stay quiet and not insult people, when i see something horrendously stupid, but no promises. :P

so a question....

uhh...

umm....

Whats with this whole "belief" nonsense when it comes to fact? people act like their opinion actually counts for something when they choose to ignore established facts in favour of foolish mythology. Seriously, how arrogant can you get....

worse it's clearly conscious too, you'll see people bishing out geologists and biologists and you'll see run of the mill laymen trying to ell the EXPERTS how to do there job, when they have no fricken clue what they're talking about. but you never see them do the same with their dentists or mechanic. So whats up with all this selective reality nonsense?

I'm not talking about belief in god, that's different. but people tend to ignore simple facts like the age of the earth,

Would you still be a good Christian? I've never met a Christian who thought they were not going to heaven but the bible clearly states the path is narrow. That would indicate that there would be a lot of disapointed Christians on judgement day. Just about every demonination believes there's is the only way. Where's that leave the others and further more anyone else who is not of that peticular demonination? Don't use well I believe I'm a good person etc etc. If you use the Dogma to enforce what you agree with you must hold true to entire package you cannot pick and chose. If you swear the bible is correct then you must live it.

some say straights need gays but what is the benefit that gay bring to straights?
do gay do the jobs that straights don't want to do?
or
do the gays do the jobs that straights can't do?
if so,are those jobs neccessary for straights?
does it sound like "illegal aliens do the jobs that americans don't want to do"?
straights don't need gays
but the gays overestimate themselves, they think that straights must surrender to them and change everything to sastify gays
but the straights are holding power
the government is by straights,of straights, and for straights only
and some gays even say that gays don't need straights
let's examine
can straights survive without gays,yes
if all straights disapear, can gays reproduce? how long will gays exist on earth?
or if gays don't need straights,do straights need to accept gay rights?
straights don't need gays
and gay rights are useless for straights

Namaste. I've read in liner notes of cds, that the snake charmer does hypnotize his human audience. The drone of the flute is usually the reason why. I"ve been to a hypnotherapist I visited my past life as the snake charmer. The sway of the cobra, and the music seemed to hypnotize me. Allthough, I wasn't aware of my human audience being in a trance. Any one know why this is hypnotic? Thanks.

You constantly cut your noses dispite your faces by trying to be logical about it. If you are useing a mental loop process such as
i. I know god exists because it written in a book
2. I know the writting in the book is true because the book says it true.
then why fool yourselves that you are still capable of logic?
Faith is believing without evidence.
Why not let go of trying to be logical about your belief when its just not possible and truely embrace your faith?

John Adams wrote (and George Washington signed) a treaty proclaiming "As the Govt of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."
Furthermore, many of our founding fathers were deists leaning agnostic.

And please don't retort with a quote from one of our founders including a simple appeal to God. Those quotes are so often misused by defenders of religious bigotry. Even today many outed atheists use the name of god in their work including Stephen Hawking. Also, Einstein invoked the name of god even though he did not believe in a personal god.

Think before you write.

...can't we all agree that discriminating against homosexuals is the worst form of hatred and bigotry, on the same level as racism and religious intolerance? How can Christians hide behind "God's word" if it is hateful toward fellow human beings? I'd think twice before worshipping a God that spouts that kind of bulls--t.

When someone does the unspeakable and takes their own life does that mean they are going straight to hell? I have tried finding scripture to help me with this answer but I am having trouble finding anything exact. I am assuming that a person who does this struggles with faith but they may still believe right? And if you believe in Jesus and don't deny Him you will go to Heaven right? Any comments are welcome. Thank you!

If an earthquake kills thousands of innocent people, believers should condemn their "all-powerful" god who, supposedly being all-powerful and all-good, would certainly possess the power to save the victims but instead, for reasons the believer can never explain, chooses not to. If a child is murdered by a madman, shouldn't the believing parents condemn their god for failing to prevent the act from happening? They wouldn't hesitate to do so if a human stood by and watched it happen. Why is it immoral for humans to turn away from helping someone in need but not immoral when a god does so? Why the double standard?

It appears most people believe we are here for some kind of trial or test. If this is true than the more we are born with, the more we have and accumilate throughout life the harder it would be to pass this trial or test. A good example would be to compare Paris Hilton to a person born without the mental capacity to function. Paris was born into money and with good looks and would appear to have many temptations thoughout her life which would seem to make it harder to pass her so called test whereas the other individual would appear to be given a free pass on his or her trial or test.

It's, like, the worst cult in history (with the notable exception of all the major world religions, but we won't go there in this discussion). But they're brimming with money... they even basically own the entire city of Clearwater, FL. There have been a number of damning exposes done on the cult in Time, Rolling Stone, etc. So why do the majority of people I talk to NOT understand the full scope of this whackjob outfit? Is it the celebrity endorsements from Tom Cruise, John Travolta, etc.? The American public is dumb, but they're not THAT dumb, are they?

While science is the process by which we use to understand HOW things work;it can not answer the WHY;thus it's necessasary to pass the torch to faith to answer the WHY question for us.

Agree or disagree? Why or why not?

Hello,

Just want to say from the start that I believe in TRUE Christianity.

The question that I have has always seemed to give me headaches (if I think about it to hard) and it just might be that there really isn't an answer for this but here goes anyway.

Everything that we know of has a begining (both seen and unseen), even the God's only begotten first born Son who was sent to earth to become Jesus the Annointed (a.k.a Jesus Christ) had a begining. However, The Almighty Father of Christ (JEHOVAH God) is said to have no begining and has ALWAYS been in existence before anything else ever existed. Is there any way to make this more easier to grasp?

I believe it to be true by faith and by coming to the conclusion that if JEHOVAH had a creator then one would wonder how THAT creator came into being and so on and so forth, so I figure IT HAS to start with Him, I just want to know if there is anyone who can better explain it (using OWN words and the Bible please)?

Christians, what do you think that God means by righteousness? And how do you develop this?

(this is an issue that I'm trying to learn more about, thanks!) While I do read the Bible, I find it helps me to talk about these issues with other people to understand these concepts more.

In a *really* hot "adult film" I rented last night. Now the problem is, I want to tell him because he should really do something about it, but I don't want him knowing I'm into pornography.

She was with another woman and everything, it was a total abomination.

What do I do?
