Namaste. I've read in liner notes of cds, that the snake charmer does hypnotize his human audience. The drone of the flute is usually the reason why. I"ve been to a hypnotherapist I visited my past life as the snake charmer. The sway of the cobra, and the music seemed to hypnotize me. Allthough, I wasn't aware of my human audience being in a trance. Any one know why this is hypnotic? Thanks.

As far as I know, it is the swaying of the flute which fascinates the snake. Snakes hear and sense vibration mainly through the ground, so it is questionable that the music has much effect.
I don't see any reason to hypnotize the audience. However, I can see that watching a venomous snake being fascinated by a flute held by a vulnerable human could be spellbinding.
