...can't we all agree that discriminating against homosexuals is the worst form of hatred and bigotry, on the same level as racism and religious intolerance? How can Christians hide behind "God's word" if it is hateful toward fellow human beings? I'd think twice before worshipping a God that spouts that kind of bulls--t.

Yes, discrimination towards homosexuals is bad. Discriminatin towards anyone is bad. It is dumb to make negative accusations and generalizations about about a group. Just because they are different from one's own lifestyle.

Hmm... Is this a generalization...?

Any kind of discrimination is wrong. God gives us laws and we should follow them. If you choose to brake a law or commit a sin that is between you and God.

Jesus taught us that we should love EVERYONE as he loved us. THIS includes ANY SINNER. And I am a Christian, I have sinned and my sin is no better or worse than a homosexuals sin. All sin is the same in the eyes of GOD.

God is a very loving God, and anyone who says he is only hateful is not open minded or has a problem with authority.

Homosexuality is a weakness to a society. It is beneficial to expel them and keep them from corrupting others with their ideology (...and fashion sense).

The Family unit is the cornerstone of a society, when F A G S break away from this system they weaken the society as a whole.

How? you say? Well if a fairy doesn't have a wife at home, or children to think about, and obviously doesn't;t respect God, then what is to stop him from forming immoral thoughts or behaviors? He/she would effectively have no shame. They would not be ashamed to be immoral and others might adopt their thoughts or actions even without being gay.

Gays can be Parts of family's, but they cannot form a new and independent Human family unit. They can only play pretend.

I personally have no hatred toward homosexuals and a God of love should not either! Homosexuality is a sin the same as adultery and fornication.
My prayer is that homosexuals will experience the love of God and turn from their sin of homosexuality to newness of life in Jesus!
The Bible says that we ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Therefore, homosexuals should not be singled and discriminated against. We should be praying for our fellow man and woman to come to Jesus regardless of their sins. God will deal with their sins and all we are asked to do is show them the love of God!

the two christian fundamentalists (any non secular fundamentalists fairly) and communists have a totalitarian international view. those form of communities think of they own the certainty and, with diverse ranges and flavours of violence, will impose their subjective actuality on others. Freedom (which demands tolerance) isn't any fee in such colleges of theory. Edit - christianman: What quantity of lack of understanding does it take to ignore that each and everybody and any arguments delivered forward against de-criminalization of homosexuality interior the western sphere interior the previous 50 years have been consistent with conservative interpretations of the christian bible?

It is not that Christians hate homesexuals themselves. It is the sin. Homosexuality is a sin. The Word of God says to abhor(hate) sin. That is why Christians are intolerant of homosexuality. It should never be about the person, just the sin. Like racism. We should hate racism, not the racist.Sadly some do act contrary to the will of God. That does not mean that God has changed with His views. GOD RULES. May God Bless U.

I agree wholeheartedly discrimination is wrong in the bible it says judge not lest you be judged I wasn't put here to Judge that is up to God. I asked a preacher one time about where in the bible it said anything against homosexuality he showed me one passage that was in the old testement and he's babtist and from what i understood from him babtist no longer live by the old testement too much we eat pig which was illegal by old testement law so forth and so on i've never truly understood where God was against it so much so I've started my own religion (lol) I no longer attend church I still pray and I still read my bible(of which I've still never seen another verse against homosexuality) And I end my prayers with thanks for getting the chance to know my uncle who was homosexual because by getting to know him in a way I got to know my Lord better and I don't think my God would judge people by their sexual preference my God is a loving God

, I am a christian and I don't hate homosexuals ....that is their choice. but I will not be asked to allow gay marriage or whatever because that goes against what I believe is right....now that isn't bigotry , that is simply me living by my set of beliefs and my morale code....you may not have the same code or beliefs and that is fine, but just because our beliefs differ doesn't mean I hate anyone that chooses this lifestyle,,,,it just simply means I don't agree with it and will not support it....that's all it is.....hatred of any kind is not good...whether it is homosexuals or hatred against someone because of their religious beliefs.....and you say how can Christians hide behind Gods Word ...it isn't us hiding behind Gods Word....but us agreeing with His Word.....we live by His Word,... it is not something we can dismiss , it is a very very big part of who we are and what we believe in.....we can not be christian and ignore His Word....we either do or don't and if we don't abide by His teachings then we aren't Christians ,, we are merely fooling ourselves if we do.....

I do not recall any Christian on this forum wishing evil upon gay people. Any form of hatred or discrimination is bad and it is especially bad if a Christian has this in his heart. God loves us all and sent his Son to die for all our sins. Christ's death, burial and ressurection is a message of hope for everyone. Its a thorn in the flesh for those who refuse the message.

It is still sin whether you like it or not:

" Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, NOR HOMOSEXUALS.....shall inherit the kingdom of God" ...... And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God". (I Corin. 6:9-11)

You can be set free from this demonic sin through the power of Jesus Christ. Many homosexuals have been completely set free to live a holy life through the power of Jesus Christ.
