I'm pissy tonight, so if i act assholish... (or more assholish then usual), sorry about that.

`just getting it out of the way now.

I'll try to stay quiet and not insult people, when i see something horrendously stupid, but no promises. :P

so a question....

uhh...

umm....

Whats with this whole "belief" nonsense when it comes to fact? people act like their opinion actually counts for something when they choose to ignore established facts in favour of foolish mythology. Seriously, how arrogant can you get....

worse it's clearly conscious too, you'll see people bishing out geologists and biologists and you'll see run of the mill laymen trying to ell the EXPERTS how to do there job, when they have no fricken clue what they're talking about. but you never see them do the same with their dentists or mechanic. So whats up with all this selective reality nonsense?

I'm not talking about belief in god, that's different. but people tend to ignore simple facts like the age of the earth,

last i checked, to msot religions "all truth is God's truth", and people tend to make "God" into some sort of deceiver creating old earths, fake fossils and genetic similarities between monkeys and humans.

last thrusdayism meets paranoia meets fear, and the whole image of their "God" gets f*cked up on the way.

Well, it sounds like you have it all figured out, like the actual age of the earth, etc, and lots more. You seem so sure that some are wrong and some are right. Guess what, you are doing the exact same thing!! Good science, supports young earth, for example. You also make assumptions, like people ignoring facts about the age of the earth! That is simply wrong. If it makes you feel better to believe religious types are mostly ignorant, and will believe anything types, then go ahead. Just don't mind, that when you ask this, I point out that you are simply wrong. I know of a lot of creationists, for example that love biologists, and geologists, so what are you talking about? IT is not impossible, that the "experts" may not be so expert. Look at darwinists, and evolutionists, floundering about. It has got to be hard for them, if not embarrassing sometimes, as truth becomes harder to deny. Give us some more simple facts, perhaps, that we ignore. The term, selective reality nonsense, is interesting coming from you. Careful you don't assume too much. That is just my two cents on that.
Why even care, or ask on here, when you seem to know it all ,etc., regarding the origins of man, or whatever?

I can identify with your frustration. I think this behavior (very ignorant people professing to know a great deal about certain subjects) is mainly a function of the failure to think critically. Instead, many people tend to only consider information, or even rationalize it on their own, which supports their already-formed conclusions.

As a result, such people really can't learn anything. They might think that they are learning, but they are really just building their wall of ignorance taller and thicker.

Of course, this flawed thinking is not just found among the hard-core religious.

One guy I just answered here, thinks that "believing" means picking and choosing any old thing you want, regardless of truth or any thinking whatsoever. Sometimes the ignorance is truly astonishing. I often wonder if these are children.

Search it out for yourself, that which many people claim to be established fact, isn't.

Read Lee Strobel's book "The Case for a Creator" where leading Scientists disprove evolutionary theory". I have found a link(s) which have significant information for you to consider regarding the theory of evolution.
