According to the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, Jesus teaching was not about eternal life. It was about enlightenment. Striving for wisdom and living out your life in a search for enlightenment.

The second coming of Christ is not a apocapolyptic event. It is about personal revelation.

The son of Man is to be sought within.

Doesn't that sound like a few other "religions", like Buddhism and Hinduism. Neither of those beliefs has a "hell". Hmmm, interesting, don't you think?

I'm particularly looking for one that works along the same path as HH The Dalai Lama, not some of the other types of Buddhism that are taught here in the West. Many thanks.

Those who dwell...among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. . . Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. The more clearly we can focus our attention on
the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.
Rachel Carson

Also, why did he need to rest on the seventh day? If he were ominpotent, he could just make himself not tired, right?

Why do so many people use the generic term for a diety, 'god', capitalize it and impart a persona to it?

By labeling and naming your center of worship, do you not limit its worth? By naming your center of worship a generic term degrade your image of sanctity?

I think that the people who tend to say 'God' are being a bit lazy and lacking in poetic and creative adoration of their focus of worship.

I don't want to offend any Mormons or people that know Mormons. Seriously, I don't have anything against Mormons and I consider them Christian but why did the Book of Mormon have racist slurs? I appreciate if a Mormon could explain it to me.

"As a result of his rebellion, Cain was cursed and told that "the earth" would not thereafter yield him its abundance as previously. In addition he became the first mortal to be cursed as a son of perdition...The Lord placed on Cain a mark of a dark skin, and he became the ancestor of the black race. (Moses 5; Gen. 4; Teachings, p. 169)." Mormon Doctrine by Bruce McConkie, page 109.
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 10, page 110.
