Every year (like it or not) Christmas becomes less and less a religious holiday...and mas y mas a soulless carnival suffering the cold of queueing up for something in Harrods that cost £12,000 a fortnight ago, but only £1,200 on the 27th of December.
During the year we may display caring about things other than ourselves - but come Yuletide, we drop all our pretences of modesty and become our most authentic selves - wiping our mouths on the silk curtains whilst we do it...
...is this why some of us sneer at how the less extreme Muslims go about their faith?

If a man dies when had commited 50% of good and 50% of evil during his life, is he going to the heaven or to the hell?

Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas, so I was wondering if any Witnesses could tell me what they try to do instead? I suppose there might be a dilemma with not going to work - you have a day off work because of a pagan satanic festival, but obviously you can't go to work because they will be closed. Do you try to get some work done at home? Interesting stuff.

According to the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, Jesus message was to seek enlightenment. He wanted us to live our lives in our quest for knowledge.

Pope Gregory had purely selfish motives. He was only interested on the furtherment and financial success of the Catholic Church.
The very fact that the gnostic gospels have been found when he ordered them to be burned should wake you up.

By portraying Mary Magdalene as a sinful woman saved by Jesus was a stroke of genius. It defeated the gnostics and the female church leaders in one stroke of the pen.

The second coming is NOT an apocolyptic event. It means a revelation from Jesus.

You say that I am not a Christian. No, I am not. I could be if the bible was true to the way that it was intended. I will not be a party to deception and lies perpetrated in the name of greed and control.

My church is celebrating black history month with a 3 day program. I need to find out some information on the churches they had access to and the ones that didn't have access to. what did they do when they were not allowed to worship. How did they continue to praise God through the years.

Christians & Atheists can be friends, right? I mean, I believe as long as there is a mutual respect and acceptance of beliefs between the two or more friends that they can be just that, friends. I have seen this happen. What do you think?

When he bites, he leaves imaginary toothmarks.
When he becomes a friend, he's an imaginary friend.
When he poops, he leaves imaginary poop.

Imaginary things can only create imaginary things, not real things. So, how did God do it?

I know this to be true from my own personal experiences. I was wondering has anyone else had a similar experience or dream. I believe this to be of God, because the bible teaches, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD" I believe that people that pass on as a Christian immediately enter heavens door to be with other Christians..What do you believe?

My dad just died this week. My mom and I neither one are ones to believe in "visions" but mom swears that she keeps seeing a flash of a palm of a hand with a circle of light on it. Any ideas on what this means or where we may find out the meaning of visions?
