" faith comes hearing the word...." To me, all that means is that, for some people, hearing God's word will produce faith in Christ. Read the whole bible [old and new testament] You will find that indeed this will only happen for SOME people. Other people need a little more convincing, like let's say, Many christians, not all, but many christians disappear off the face of the earth and are taken into heaven by Christ Jesus Himself so quickly that it occurs within a tenth or less of a second. This event foretold in the New testament by Apostle Paul, a christian leader is called Rapture. If this event occurs, that would mean that christ is indeed alive; He has taken his church away; and He will judge the world with a series of plagues, famines, acts of God like that. Events like that may put some faith in to some people. However, there will people who will never have faith no matter what. The sum it all up:
Hearing the Word only puts faith in Christ in SOME people, not all.

I believe that your answer is best found in your question here. Many people have studied the Bible, but they have failed to hear the voice of God through the scriptures. One can read and study until he's blue in the face and yet his life will remain stagnate until he listens to what God is speaking behind the written word. Trust me, I once walked away faithless too, but returned and discovered the true meaning of faith comes from hearing.

Because ppl. need to practice faith, because ppl regardless of reading the bible is human/flesh. The flesh is hard to tame right away. It takes time for faith to sink in some ones life, it takes all your life really because its a different situation you go through in life. When you experience the outcome of faith on one situation, then the flesh will know it, and it will be a tiny bit easier to continue having faith. Some ppl. even reading the bible have no faith because didnt grasp well what is being read, some ppl even look at faith in the wordly way and not spiritual way. Spiritually we do every day if we notice or not, just some people faith in certain things are stronger than others, but faith is there.

No sir, no one has that excuse. No one who reads the bible or hears the word with an open heart comes away unbelieving. They resist it somewhere due to some other notions that have taken control of them but is not according to God, they think they are wise.
Gods knows their hearts.
1 Corinthians 3:18
Let no man have a false idea. If any man seems to himself to be wise among you, let him become foolish, so that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolish before God. As it is said in the holy Writings, He who takes the wise in their secret designs:
20 And again, The Lord has knowledge of the reasonings of the wise, that they are nothing.
21 So let no one take pride in men.

Jesus addresses this in the parable of the sower and the seeds.
Mark, chapter 4
“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed. 4 As he scattered it across his field, some of the seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it. 5 Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seed sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plant soon wilted under the hot sun, and since it didn’t have deep roots, it died. 7 Other seed fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants so they produced no grain. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” 9 Then he said, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
Then Christ explains it:
13 Then Jesus said to them, “If you can’t understand the meaning of this parable, how will you understand all the other parables? 14 The farmer plants seed by taking God’s word to others. 15 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message, only to have Satan come at once and take it away. 16 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 17 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 18 The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, 19 but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. 20 And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
It's not just hearing the word, it's also the condition of the heart that hears it!

I truly doubt they have come to God's WORD with an open mind, and Heart, and come away faithless. It is also written that those who come to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith is inward. It's believing in yourself. That you can do anything. the sky is not the limit. I say if you limit yourself to anything than you don't know what you can do and do well. Faith is also about getting into bad situations and knowing you have the knowledge or wisdom or even hope to get out of it. Faith drives some of us to change the world and to fight injustice. Only because we have what it takes from winthin to change or inspire the world around. Basically faith is given to those who don't give up.

It is the person's choice if they chose to accept the faith that was given in the Word of God. Even faith is a gift from God- accept it is your choice. I choose to believe that the Word is truth. I accepted faith in the One true living God-

They couldn't have studied it with an open mind.
They read it and scepticism prevails.
You need to read the Bible to gain knowledge and wisdom.
The ones who come away faithless are not looking with an open mind or heart.
The just do not accept it.

talk is cheap. faith will come the same way experience comes. that is. faith is like a seed. you water it, you fertilize it, you remove weed from it, you purposely attend it, like everything else you start little by little. i have faith my desk will be clean by tonight, then you start with your room, then your house, now faith with out action is just wishing, like i always wish to lose weight but i don´t do anything about it.
i have faith my parents that my parents have good health but you don´t encourage them to exercise and eat healthily . like i said talk is cheap, faith is backed up by action, then along the road you´ll feel you can handle just about any situation, oh i almost forgot, Jesus is you best body, you talk to him, you think about him all the time, if things didn´t come out as you expected it, blame it on him, but he´ll tell to keep going and going and going.
