Beating your child to the brink of death is not a sin according to Christianity, that is if your child is disobedient, and does not follow the "word of God", you should have him/her stoned to death.

Interesting answers you have here. All sins are equal is particuliarly interesting. In just inforces my idea that Christians live in a fantasy world, one where homosexuality is the same as murder. What a bunch of nut jobs. While homosexuality is never named as a sin, beating your child for disobedenced is demand by the bible, so according to the bible witchcraft would be the worst sin.

Ok, think of it this way. Would you rather be caught practicing witchcraft (keep in mind that these are modern times), trying to express your feelings for others of the same gender, or beating a defenseless child, your child on top of that, to near death?
It all depends on what you would feel the most guilty and inhumane about.

Homosexuality is not a sin at all. You cannot help being born a homosexual. Nothing in the Bible says you can have no gay marriages.

Witchcraft is only a sin in the Commandment "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor," in the fact that witchcraft is made up. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with witchcraft at all.

Beating your child is child abuse, which breaks the Commandment "Honor your mother and father." "Your mother and father" refers to everyone, and if you hurt your child and your parents are still alive, they will not be happy that you have a beaten grandchild. That's it.
The last two are both sins.

I dont think God meant for us to beat our child to the brink of death when He stated if you ,spare the rod you spoil the child not even sure it was a commandment,according to God one sin is as bad as another, children of God does not have the will to harm.They are filled with love because that is what He is we are made in His image to be like Him. God loves His children and provides for them..witchcraft, rebellion, lying, homosexuality, and many others are "sin" and all sin is evil. God sent His Son to save us from our sins. Many of these actions are a result of ignorance of the truth.

We are NOT told that "BEATING A CHILD TO THE BRINK OF DEATH" is not a sin! You are sadly mistaken. SIN has no degrees. All sin is against GOD's HOLY COMMAND and is wrong. The Old Testament gives the man a right and obligation to discipline his children. It does not say they are to be BEATEN. You are a bit off here.

1st can you be any more homophobic? people who choose to be gay are still humans! they are the same as you and me except they are attracted to the same sex. You must not know the BIBLE, no where does it state that you should beat your child to death! It says to dicipline them when they need it. That is what is wrong with kids today, they dont have the enough dicipline! Thats probably why they are into the homosexual lifestyle, which is a choice, and I really could care less about harry potter.
