Why do so many people use the generic term for a diety, 'god', capitalize it and impart a persona to it?

By labeling and naming your center of worship, do you not limit its worth? By naming your center of worship a generic term degrade your image of sanctity?

I think that the people who tend to say 'God' are being a bit lazy and lacking in poetic and creative adoration of their focus of worship.

100% agreed. When I have to use the term 'god,' I don't use a capitalized letter.

I don't try to be disrespectful, but I do want whoever is reading it to realize what I believe... or don't believe.

God inspired the writers of the Bible to use the word God. If it's good enough for Him, who am I to argue?

Until one can communicate through silence and receive communications from silence is this not convenient?? Why did you use words to ask this question & need written answers in return??

It's still not as bad as the people who spell it as "capital g minus capital d".

Maybe I should start writing it as "g0d".
