Are there suggestions for more serious forums on religion?

You just have to trawl through all the rubbish to get the good answers. They are there. It's also a good place to have discussion. Unfortunately there are some idits on here, on all sides of the religious divides, but they are inconsequential.

Actually there are some serious people on here with some very intelligent points to be made. You also have an assortment of comedians and bigots to add interest.
Ask away and you may be surprised by some of the answers you get. I know that I have learned a great deal from these people.
If you think that you know it all already and were just coming here to inflict your narrow minded view on others you will fit right in too cause that pretty well describes a lot of what is going on here. If you get too full of your self and become too self righteous some one will slap you down and bring you to your senses.
Still there are people here who seem to have a direct connection to God and the truth and they seem willing to help when they can.
All in all its a pretty informative group. Stick around for a While and you will see what I mean.

This forum is for discussion, rarely for advice. Many of the members here are very serious, you may have just come at a time when those particular members are not logged on. Try logging back on during a week night, 6-8 pm, or create a new question asking for whatever advice you are seeking.

Religion and spirituality is serious for some of us, while it is a joke to others. Unless you have a furom with heavy handed moderators who rule like dictators, No there is not furom where it is serious all the time.

This "site" does not determine the nature of the answers you will get. You need to use what wisdom you have to weed through what you think is irrelevant to find information that may be valuable to you. If you want to be spoon fed the answers you want to hear, you are right, this is the wrong place for you.

You will learn that if you word your questiones carefully, you will get more serious answers and the trolls will not find much interest. There are some smart people here worth consulting, but they are in the minority. Good luck.

In truth "it" is the way... I saw you got the message I was trying to relay.

Yes, unfortunately it is not. It's getting more verbally barbaric every single day. No respect for anyone. I don't know how come Yahoo is being so passive about it.

just know that all forums have trolls in them, unless you find a really small one where the admins keep a super close eye on it.
