I don't understand why LDS men are not allowed to have long hair when Jesus had long hair. If it is a Christian-based religion, then why was it okay for Jesus to have long locks, but not for people in the here and now?

I remember coming across an interview done by Larry King on CNN with a highly acclaimed priest (coulnd't recall his name), Larry posed a valid question , " assuming there are two men, Mr. A and Mr. B, Mr. A, an atheists, througout his entire life, has done nothing but good deeds. Mr. B, who has done enough of evil acts his entire life, but he has faith in Jesus. The question now is, who gets to see father Lords in his afterlife?"

The answer by the latter is "MR. B no doubt about it". Mr. Larry then shoke hand with him and thanked him for coming. That particular scene has left more questions than answers, hasn't it? What's your view?

God wants your heart, spirit, and soul to work, seek and sincerely trusting in him. Perhaps it's more spiritual faith.

Why would God give someone with no faith proof?
The ones who ask for proof are the ones with no faith.

The solution was brought to this world in the birth of Christ...that is his message, "The Light of the world" provides a model to understand the negative side to truth...and there is one, and I believe remnants of the original sin.

An athiest mocking a Christian I can understand....

But isn't mocking those who christians would technically consider less fortunate (ie burn in hell for eternity) rather hypocritical?

Or is it that they are just not "true Christians" that mock those they supposedly believe will burn in hell for eternity? I believe in Jesus myself but I absolutely hate when other Christians ridicule and mock athiests, telling them to "burn in hell" or "do you not believe in god cause you were molested as a kid? (yahoo answer favorite)"....... You get the point.

Just seems like all Christians of all sorts should be more sympathetic...."Love they Neighbor as Thy Self."

Thanks.

John 17: 14-19: "I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.

15 “I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. 17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. 18 Just as you sent me forth into the world, I also sent them forth into the world. 19 And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, that they also may be sanctified by means of truth."

From that Scripture, what does being no part of the world mean to you? ...and do you believe that we can live in this world without really being a part of this world?

The Jewish religion believes that no one can die for anothers sins. First, in Exodus 32:30-35, Moses asks God to punish him for the sin of the Golden Calf, committed by the people. God tells Moses that the person who committed the sin is the person who must receive the punishment. Then, in Deuteronomy 24:16, God simply states this as a basic principle, "Every man shall be put to death for his own sins." This concept is repeated in the Prophets, in Ezekiel 18 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die... the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him." So how did Jesus die for our sins if the bible says no one can?

Also, the Jewish religion also believes that the messiah would not be god, but a human, and restore Israel, and be a great political leader.

I am so confused. How did these prophecies get so twisted around? Can someone pleaaaaase explain this to me?!

I am personally Catholic. I believe, that if I had not faith, that I would be agnostic. I often don't see how the principle immorallity of some... judgemental Christians and Muslmins, is corrected in their philosophy. It is, once again, the I'm right and you're wrong approach, without proof, that so many atheists attempt to use. Right? Please help me understand. Thank you.

Mike P.was cutting down a large tree and it fell on him and crushed his leg. He was in a low spot or he would have been crushed to death. Lost lot of blood. Used chain saw and cut himself free. He asked God to help him or he would have not been able to also crawl 100 feet to his truck and get his mobile telephone to get help. By himself -if had to wait for someone to come it would have been too late until hours later. Doctors already put pins in his leg. They will go in tomorrow and clean out his wound and if all is well sew him back up and begin skin grafts on about 14" He is a good and nice person and a hard worker so please will you say prayers for him? I am asking all people. I am very upset right now. I am glad he is being well taken care of. Please pray for the doctors to while they do their work. He is in a lot of pain. Sometimes it is hard for me to understand why so many bad things happen. I will appreciate all PRAYERS. Thank you! He is at The Baptist Hospital in N.C.
