Probably in April, around the time of the census, which would have been conducted during a major holiday like Passover. Oh, and they think it was probably around 4 B.C. -- someone counted wrong.
It's celebrated in December because the early christians wanted something to divert attention from the pagan winter solstice holiday.

We don't really know for sure. Based on what is believed to be the date of the census ordered by Ceaser Augustus, those who have a strongl opionion on the time of birth mostly guess it is in Spring, and many even narrow it down to April.
Because of the fact that we don't know the date, the Chrisitan world has accepted the 25th of december as being a feast picked arbitrarily as a time to celebrate Jesus' birth. It has never been claimed, as far as I know, that December 25th is actually his date of birth.

Sometime between February and March of the year 4 AD is the best guess. The spread is actually 7 BC to 7AD and most feel it was in Feburuary to maybe April at the outside.

So his birth and crusifiction were within a month of each other, 33 years apart.

one can only surmise an approximation such as spring when the sheep are out for grazing but the mithras and nimrods are born on the dec 25 th after the julian calendar changed time a bit.

its unknown. likely any time between late march and mid-october, because that is when the shepherds were usually in the fields. it was too cold the rest of the year.
