Outside, it rained a Christmas mist; inside, I was listening
To a girl I hadn’t seen since we were “A” students in like the 5th or 6th
Now she’s hearing voices that make all kinds of threats and scary noises
Thinks she smoked too much green stuff that was very, very moist
When I was watching Chesapeake High square off with Sparrows point
She dropped out in the 9th grade into despair and disappointment
Using and selling drugs, hanging with hell a thugs
And still lives in constant search of more and better bud
A schizophrenic living with it the best way she knows how
Meds don’t take away the voices; they just make them go down
Seemed her belief in a good God was deceiving her hard
Faces contorted into demons of the people she saw
Told me how she chased the reaper, as I was seeing her scars
Self-inflicted with a knife to the wrist, deeper and harder
If Jesus is the reason for the season or you’re a believer in karma
How do you justify this girl’s way of being? A martyr?

If you say "nothing created God, he always existed" then I say "the universe always existed and there's no need for a God to explain its creation"

We get inner strength if our actions are validated either by religious texts on which we have full faith or by common public.

I want to know if the religious texts of Islam validate the actions of the Islamic Millitants. Or else, from where they get the moral strength for mass terrorism?

Isn't it an arogant act to believe there is no god? No one knows everything. I've always thought you must really have to hate god to be an athiest. Is it fair to say athiests have had a terrible event in their life that causes them to believe there is no god? It is an unprovable thing. AM I right or not? I really want to hear from an athiest who is intellectually honest.

Is God the best answer that man has for us human beings to be here?? This is bullshit i hate the fact that im being told that if you are good your whole life and go to church you will go to heaven and if you dont follow gods good teachings you will go to hell. Who can have the power to say or to even do so? Interesting how time was recorded in jesus's era? The church are cons, liers and just an excuse to keep tradition what it is. Its all bullshit. The only way to get the truth is when you die.

I'm coming from the perspective of identifying, facing, and conquering the gaints we face in life. David faced Goliath and was victorious. Personally, I have battled with depression at various times in my life. So my primary question is this: What giants do you battle with in this life? Serious comments, please.

(eating with) those who oppose your beliefs? What do you think?
"The crucifixion of Jesus was "once and for all".
The Mass is sacrificing Jesus over and over again, which is saying that the sacrifice on the cross was not good enough.
I would not attend a mass because it is blasphemy." was Booth G's answer to whether a Protestant should attend a mass including the eucharist even if aware of the doctrinal differences and not participating?
I can't understand the Catholic views on this yet either as to why they think a Protestant couldn't give the proper respect to the supper yet we think the same of them?? And who gives a priest the duty of a "sacrificial minister" who acts "in the place of Christ" if Christ is the only mediator between God and man and why would you bow and fold your arms across your chest to another human being?

Please don't get me any babble about god created the earth and he walked on water. Actually the translation was wrong when they were translating it from Hebrew to English, walking on water was actually meant that God was walking near the water.

Like, if you were baptized as a child but it does not fit your beliefs as an adult? I don't want to, but I'm curious.

In the new testament, Jesus proved his claim of godship, by raising nazarirth from the dead, not to forget he was raised from the dead, with many recorded witnesses, and with thomus getting his prof that Jesus was not a spirit but a physical being. No where before in history, or any other relidgine, did any other man prove such a great mirical
Today people believe that miricals/spiritual gifts are not for today, yes we do need "love"(1cor.13:1-13 "Not man's natual love", but Christ Jesus Supernatual Love. (BIG DIFERANT'S). Seeing Poor reflection in 1st Cor 13:12 ,is refering to reading the word of God, with out the Spirit of God, which is Christ. Jesus claims to be the Word of God (Ramer Word). He is the perfect, that is to come.He is the Reverlation of The Word. Reverlation is the perfect to come. when the church is in unity world wide and denomanation is no more, (the Church has become one under christ.) full of Reverlation, there will be no sick in the church. Let's suppose, for the sake of arguement,(which is mostly all that goes on here anyway),that your god exists.
Is he good or bad?
Prove it.
Let's let the faithful give their proof of all of the good things he has done for them, and some of us can remind them of all of the bad qualities as we see them.(Like when he supposedly killed almost every single life form on the planet during a flood.)
I promise not to use each individual death as one bad point apiece.
C'mon,it will be fun!
Put your $ where your mouth is.
If you really want to have some fun,I'll ask again later and we can answer using only the bible.
BTW,if I can't use each individual death, then his allegedly dying for all of you only counts as one act as well...

For those who dont know, web weaving is getting in touch with other pagans and witches in your community.
I live in a small town and have started a coven with my husband and a few others, but I would like to expand, not just to get new members, but also to develop some sort of pagan community.
Any ideas?

I have noticed that many questions and answers about religion and spirituality are quite antagonistic. Do you think that we might be able to discuss things rationally, logically and unemotionally if the wording is more civil? Or are people so bigoted that all we can expect is ranting?
