It doesn't say to hate them. I feel sorry for them because the are blind and can not see the truth.

How can ANYONE get this VERSE so SCREWED UP...Like Toof, DID... And, people gave it a TU... Wow. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." THE FOOL said in his HEART, "There is no God" --- (and it CONTINUES) THEY are CORRUPT and have done ABOMINABLE WORKS... there is NONE that doeth GOOD. And, I'm sure SOMEONE ELSE will NOT get it. Again, another comment about points in TIME... Well, it's a VALID POINT... OVER 2000 years ago.. people like you EXISTED. But, GOD doesn't? YET, the WORD speaks AGAINST UNBELIEF all throughout.. And, YET they still DON'T get it. -- HOW much EVIDENCE do you NEED when the HOLY BIBLE is TALKING about YOU. 2 Peter 3:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV) God’s Promise Is Not Slack 3 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us,[a] the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” --- Don't you guys do THAT? Romans 1:20-25 New King James Version (NKJV) 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. --- And, THAT doesn't speak of the AVERAGE ATHEIST?

The word "HATE" is not found here. What are you reading into this? I follow the New Testament anyway since I am a New Testament Christian. The Old Testament was written for those who lived prior to Our Savior's Death. After Acts 2:38 we are all given the opportunity to be among the Saved. An opportunity to be in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. We are told to "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you". I do not think that we are ever told to HATE ANYONE. In fact we are told to convert the sinner so that he would also have an opportunity to be in heaven. I hope that this makes sense. I hold no hatred toward others. Have a great week.

No, it does not. All it says is that atheist are fools to think that there is no mover behind our world. I agree fully with that statement as it does seem to require an unbelievable amount of blind faith to be an atheist and theorize that the beginning (the Big Bang) came out of nothing and that we evolved from hydrocarbons and aminoacids coming together over a long time or that the mathematical nature of this ordered universe is due to random chance.

What would you think of another scared book belonging to some other religion that said:
"The fool hath said in his heart, Jesus is God. They are corrup, they have done adominable works, there is none that doeth good."
Kind of annoying to hear it that way, isn't it?
Happy Holidays,

OK, show me in that verse where it says to hate atheist?
It says the people who reject God also reject his morality. Or are you one of those rare atheist who rejects God, and then keeps the 10 Commandments, tithes, attends church, witnesses to others, prays, reading the Bible, and does all the other God says to do? If you are, you will be the first one I have ever heard of...
The scripture merely states a facts - atheist reject Bible morality and do things that the Bible would consider wrong. The scripture nowhere states for Christians to hate such people. Rather they are commanded to "love their enemies and pray for those who dispitefully use them".
When you read all "the book", you get all of the answers...

Lucky for many Israel is not still with God blessing and mutipling them as He once did. Yes to a certain amount He still is and will do so again. But we have a new covenant now and we are commanded to love our enemies. Our Bible tells us to hate sin.
Because sin is not of God. You can't understand God's word because you are still in darkness. Come to the light and you will be able to see.

And what is your question?
Additionally, just looking at your quote, it doesn't mention hating atheists at all. It merely describes their spiritual state when they come before a Holy God.
But if atheists really believe there is no God, then why do they spend so much time, energy and frustration screaming into the darkness denying his existence?
I don't believe in moon people living on the inside of the moon, yet I don't rant and rave and post taunting e-mails based on out-of-context statements - I merely smile at the people who wear tin foil over the heads to keep out the microwaves...

Just because they are fools doesn't mean we hate them. Everyone is a fool, for living in sin.God still desires everyone to be saved. He gets no delight in throwing people into hell. He only does, because they reject the amazing love of Jesus, by sacrificing his life, as a payment for sins.
C.S Lewis was an atheist, Kirk Cameron and so called top atheist, Anthony Flew, and they all turned to Christ.
Actually I feel great sorrow for atheist. My only hope is they change, cause their will be no atheist in the after life.

Nowhere here, does it say to hate the atheist. we are to love all, unconditionally. We are to hate the sin, but love the sinner. You should try reading the Bible in context.

The term "fool" used here means morally deficient, not athiestic. There is no mention / direction for us to hate such a person in the text.
