There are those who are skeptical & test G-d, asking for proof...& there are the genuine seekers, who ask for proof. Even Gideon got proof, when he was genuinely seeking without a skeptical attitude.
It all depends on the heart condition of the individual asking for the proof.
Remember, G-d knows the heart.
And, you are right. Faith WILL bring the proof one seeks.

you are absolutely right. God knows what is in your heart and He knows when you are sincere. Those who cry out for proof and claim there is none, are not pure of heart in asking. I believe that if you have faith and love God, talk to him in prayer that is sincere. Your answers will be clear and direct. I have had many direct answers to my prayers that could not have been anything else. I know that God lives me because I have felt his hand in my life many times. He is alive and well. All you have to do is talk to Him. He'll answer and you will know it was God. No way around it, be sincere, honest and open to receiving his answer no matter what it is, God doesn't abandon those with faith and love for him. You don't need to belong to a specific religion or church, You can have a relationship with God even if you have no church. God loves individuals not groups. Try talking to him like you would a trusted person like your father or doctor. He's better, smarter, and more capable than any human.

Bah - God gives faith. Proof is the field of science where something can be replicated in a separate place/time. If God gave proof, there would be no faith - what would there be to believe?
Pascal's Wager takes your logic one step further. Check it out.

I think it is the nature our being that if you "knock, the door will be opened" and if you seek you will find. Whether you are a religious person, a scientist, or just very curious, if you really get yourself serious inside and look, the Truth you seek will be revealed because of your passion to find it. They may not be the same thing, or interpreted in the same way, but the "door" has no locks on it.

First of all, you can't serve Him with any of those attributes that you listed unless it's done by faith. Faith is what pleases God. Faith is what moves God. God's answers to your prayers and the visible hand on all your situations of daily life is proof by your faith. PEACE!!!

Because the ones who have no acknowledgement of the existence of a god are the ones who are given the hardest time in the world by those who acknowledge the existence of a god.
In order to believe in a god, an atheist wants solid concrete proof, and quoting from the bible is not acceptable. They want, say, a washcloth to appear in front of them instantly, and until that happens, they won't accept anything religious.

Scripture states that faith is a gift of God, but I believe scripture supports that God has called all people to salvation (John 3:16).

The ones with faith don't need proof. The ones without faith do. Are you really that brainwashed that you don't see that the "logic" you are using is turned inside out ? Christians wonder why we atheists think their stupid. Good grief !

Sad but true. God has been wonderful to me from day one when I first gave Him my life. Like the song says tis so sweet to trust in Jesus just to take Him at His word. Oh, the joy of trusting Christ and God our Father.

Those with sincere faith imagine things. It's called the placebo effect, and it works.
