I am personally Catholic. I believe, that if I had not faith, that I would be agnostic. I often don't see how the principle immorallity of some... judgemental Christians and Muslmins, is corrected in their philosophy. It is, once again, the I'm right and you're wrong approach, without proof, that so many atheists attempt to use. Right? Please help me understand. Thank you.

guraqt2me: I wish to point out that there have been precious few enlightened people in the world, and that the rest, and possibly even these so-called enlightened individuals as well, are idol worshippers. . .

Agnostics are probably the more open minded. Atheists believe that there is no god due to lack of what they consider to be good, solid evidence. But, in truth, they don't have any proof.

Well, I used to be agnostic, but I am now an atheist.
If you were close to me and really tried to understand what I was saying, you might find a more open minded, understanding person than most see in me, but I believe that is true of most.
I am proud of my Atheism. Pride often portrays itself as close-mindedness and indeed, perhaps there is a fine line between the two.
Who is more open minded, an agnostic or and atheist? Well, many think agnostics. Do you know the old joke, an agnostic is just and atheist without any balls? I don't believe that's true either.
It depends on the person. :-)
I remember one, I told a Christian (who asked me) that I was an agnostic and she said “well at least that’s better than an atheist”
The words just slipped out and I could tell she was embarrassed. She should have been.
I remember it made me agree (although I was polite). I had a right to be.

Big: If you think that you find all of this a paradox ... what does God think ? Could it possibly be, that everyone is wrong, assumimg that he / she is "right" ... all in contention for "bragging" rights ! When you take on the perspective, that God isn't finished yet, with fulfilling His plan with us humans here, on the earth ... there remains plenty of questions to only be answered by God [Jesus] at His return to this earth. I find that people, in general, want to be "right" ... not "righteous" !!! This is where the proverbial "rubber" meets the road. Christians need to go to God for their answers concerning the spiritual and both, atheists and agnostics would serve themselves well, by finding the answers about the existence of a Devine Creator from SCIENCE where, with an open and objective mind-set he or she will uncover the answer to his or her respective questions. When you have Christians taking on people who are not Christians or atheists and agnostics taking on Christians, either are generally, ill-informed or ignorant to present their respective queries without prejudice; thus, placing up barriers in opposition to one another.

Agnostics would probably be more open minded, approachable, less offensive and more considerate to the fact that you believe.
However, no offense to agnostics, I have more respect for the atheist b/c they are like me, a Christian, in the way that we do not ride the fence.

If you weren't a theist than you would be an atheist. You either believe in god(s) or you don't, there's no in between. If you call yourself agnostic then you're either an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist.

Gods are the products of religions. If you do no follow a religion then you do not have any reason to believe in God. Agnostics may seem to be more open minded but in fact they are just manufacturing the own belief in a God which cannot be known.

the problem is that so many beliefs, atheist and agnostic included can be very narrow minded in their view...a & a have very definitive beliefs that there is not a god or you cannot prove there is so they are not open minded to the idea that there may be a god. personally i think its an open minded person who considers all the options including the existance of a god...its a narrow minded person who excludes all else and clings to one belief only and never considers another. it is also a narrow minded and bigoted person who harshly attacks another for their beliefs when in reality it is no one business who or what another person believes in, we have freedom of religion and there should be no one who polices whether you believe or not, that a personal decision only. saying that...there are judgmental ppl in all beliefs from christians to muslims to wicca to atheists to agnostic to jewish...judging others is not specific to any one religion or any one persons.

athiest. if it wasentt for athiest we wouldnt have few advances in the world of science we would have few advances in the world of medicine. agnostics and religious peole hope god will make everything better some how. the athiest has to find a awy or die trying there is no other option. most religious peopl are not open to homosexuallty. they are not open to embryonic stem cell research. anortion and so fourth. so who is more open minded the person who belives certainly not the person who thinks there is a god there is a heaven and you cant tell them otherwise. that would be closeminded.

Those aren't separate things. One could be agnostic theist, agnostic atheist, and so on. I believe anyone who is atheist in any sense, weak or strong, is more open minded.
