It seem to me that most people who dont believe and make fun of God and Jesus, as well as other religions, seem to look at them all the same way. They seem to look at him as an invisible being who lives in the sky or in a heaven that cant be seen. We live on a planet where we are bound by beginnings and ends, life and death, cycles. I am not a scientologist, I am a christian, but how do we know that God and Heaven is not Galaxies away, and when you die your soul has to take a worm hole or a black hole to get there. Which scientists believe that worm holes could actually warp us across time, hence the tunnel of light some have claimed to see when they die. And our phisical bodies would just simply be torn apart like scientists say. God and his creatures like angels, could be an ancient, ancient civilization, in a parallel universe or galaxie that created us, and they are not bound by the same phisical laws we are. Has anyone ever heard of string theory? Look into string theory.

Is it because they think their faith would help others or is it because their religion asks them to do so.

in my last question a lot of people said that the reason the wages of sin is death is because God said so, which really makes me wonder if God was evil, would you worship Him, and please note that if you try to dodge the question by saying God can't be evil i will just take it to mean you are too close-minded to even consider a hypothetical question

Here's an interesting question. Can a person be a Christian (follower or Jesus Christ) and still work or support the Unified School District (Public Schools)? Can someone be a Christian and work for the government? See where I'm going with this? If somone said to you that they are a bible believing Christian but are employeed by the public schools or government what would your viewpoint be of them especially if they work at public schools which doesn't allow prayers or mention of Christ within it's districts.

Why do people think that satan is a bad demon, devil or whatever? He may be forced or controlled by a chicken.

When you consider the incredible complexity of the human body, the world we live in, and all living creatures, how could the world and all its creatures / wonders have possibly have been created by chance? How can there be any other explanation but God? Where else could everything have possibly come from?

I am not struggling with my own beliefs but am suprised to read all the comments out there from atheists and the like. I am curious to learn what some of your thoughts are and am sure I will be following up with more questions on the topic.

I just can't my mind around the idea that we just happened - I don't see that as possible.

Thanks for the input.

As complex as the universe is, one would think there is an intelligence behind it.

If not, why not? I've met many who just won't let their minds go there. Why do others look to examine and question their beliefs, allowing for any possibility, while many just won't let their minds go there? Even the answer to this question will be telling, right?

to ensure the profitability of retailers through the winter months. Jesus was born in April and expects us to be generous everyday so why all the commercialism at Christmas and why do we give to those who have so much. Would it be better to help the poor?

OK the reason why I think that he is always shown to be white was due to white supremacy. When white people were off destroying and robbing looting, and enslaving non white races across the world the church and others had to brain wash these people into believing that the son of God was white and so we are white too, therefore we are your masters by Gods will.

If you ask any person to close their eyes and describe what they think God looks like they will probably say a old white man with blue eyes white beard and hair dressed in white which off course if you look up the definition in the dictionary it has a meaning of purity and the word black would mean low untrustworthy amongst other lowly words. If you ask any person of colour any where in the world they will know this too the darker you are is not good in white society because of centuries of this type of brain washing used by this method. The irony of this today is that whites are always trying to make skins features darker like black people i.e.. Skin colour, larger lips and bums, hair that has body. Then there are some non-whites are trying to be whiter, straight hair, bleaching creams and being too thin. Im not crazy look it up for yourselves and think about it for a minute

Don't you notice they all dwell on questions no one has found an answer to and put in a fear factor like heaven and hell. Then people follow along with it, then it causes people to feel more worried because of the bandwagon effect and they keep growing and growing. I can't believe so many people fall for this stuff, it is so elementary if you think about it for more than a minute.

I'm sorry, I have tried to sympathize with people's beliefs, but you have to be naturally stupid to fall into the grips of religions and not realize your placing your faith in some guy who is telling you all about these imaginary beings, not a god himself.

No reward at all - no heaven, no afterlife, no positive karmic effects. No pleasing God, no celebratiing his Love, no spiritual growth, no advancement, no peace. Also, add to this the following: no one knows that you do good, no one knows that you're kind, etc. And ... you don't have any concept of yourself as doing good or being a righteous, principled person. You just do without any sense of self or ego or gain or anything. Is that possible?

My brother told me that heaven is a place where you water plants and talk to Jesus everyday while hell is a place where you commit adultery and indulge in sinful activities like s** so he told me that if I wanted to enjoy my after life instead of doing boring activities like watering plants. I should do more evil and go to hell and enjoy the excitement of my lifetime. Is it true?
or was my brother acting cute again?
