It is needed for the survival of the religion. Do you think Christianity or Islam could have survived if the people didn't spread their faith wherever they went? That is what separates a religion from a cult- great numbers. There have been many weird religions in America during the Industrial revolution. For example, the shakers who didn't believe in sex and would shake. They perished because of low numbers. Mormonism was started by one man but he managed to gain followers and now it is a religion. The religion ask them to convert people so they can have bigger numbers.

The Bible tells us Christians to spread the world of the Lord which is the God News. We aren't suppose to pressure people but encourage people to come to our Faith. I Have Faith in the Bible and Christ and living a Godly life then having a religion.

There seems to be a great focus on the push on different faiths these days, be it Christian, Islam, and others. It may be that with the media attention on it, we see it more clearly.

It's more like this: we've found something so wonderful and thrilling we just can't keep it to ourselves. We want to tell EVERYONE about it. Sometimes people go about it in an annoying way, but at the heart of it is always such intense joy we feel like we're going to BUST if we don't get it out.

I share my faith which is Christianity because I don't want anyone to be eternally separated from God. He loves them and wants them to come to Him. They have a choice. I want then to chose life instead of death, punishment, eternal separation from all that is good and loving.
