I'm tired of all these "born again" folks and jeebuz freaks trying to convert me or save me or whatnot. I'm not interested in christianity or any religion for that matter. How can I keep these people at arms length? Should I eat more garlic?

This verse is actually describing the genetals of the Behemoth (whatever the Behemoth is). "Stones" is a mistranslation of testicles, and "tail" is a mistranslation of penis. The original word that was translated to "moveth" actually means to grow firm.

When you know this and you read the previous verse (40:16) with it, it makes a lot more sense.

This is not a joke.

Some say that Ex Gay Ministries like http://www.pfox.org/ and http://www.jonahweb.org are brainwashing people.

What do you think, does God have the power to change a person from gay to straight?

God, in the sense, that they think everything revolves around them and they truely think that they are better than EVERYONE.

Perhaps I am not completely sure what Atheists beliefs are, but my understanding is that they do not believe in the existence of God. If so, considering that Christmas is a holiday to celebrate the birth of Jesus, do they celebrate it? And if they do celebrate the holidays but just not Christmas, what are they actually celebrating? Do they give gifts, do they have a Christmas tree?

Hypothetically speaking, if you had painful, crippling diseases and you were given the choice, would you choose to live your life to the fullest and die young, while still able to do the things you enjoy?

Or would you want to live a long life, but end up crippled and in a nursing home, dependent on others?

I have no plans to off myself, this just came up in a conversation with a friend. I'm curious what the rest of you think

I don't believe in hell, but I would just like to hear from others what they think about the following visions of hell.

"We have readied a fire whose billowing folds will encompass them from all sides; and if they beg for water, they will be given water [hot] like molten lead, which will scald their faces: how dreadful a drink, and how evil a place to rest!"

"Every time their skins are burnt off, We shall replace them with new skins, so that they may taste suffering."

I know the real God is captured in the bible. But tell me in simpler terms who he is. (Yes, i know he is god. But what is the real God like?) There have been different ideas of what God really is and we tend to project a certain image of God according to our liking. Tell me, who is the real Him?

I had a personal ineffable revelation of ultimate reality at age 33.( I am now 46).

To me; this is absolute Truth.

Does this fact; (to me, it is Fact), make what I Know Truth for others?
