No they don't work, but just watch my Beloved Son Ted Haggard make a BUNDLE of money off this in a few years.

Absolutely not. With a small qualification.
I believe it is possible for a gay person to live a straight lifestyle. I believe it's possible for them to be (somwhat) happy. The idea that they are now "living as God wants them to" and that they now won't burn in eternal torment may offer some satisfaction.
Are they "cured" gays? Likely not. There have been NO peer-reviewed studies by ANY major medical or psychological school or group done on these people.
What's not known is whether the people who are supposedly "cured" were truly exclusively homosexual, or merely bisexual, having exclusively homosexual relationships. The degree of the "cure", or definition of "cure" is somewhat ambiguous. Do these people still have homosexual fantasies or thoughts? Do they still find men (if male) attractive? If they were (men) effiminate before, are they still? Would a PET scan still indicate homosexual thought patterns?
If you look at the group pfox, you'll find in the testimonials that most of the people there are not really homosexual, but are suffering from PTSD and the ravages of mollestation and abuse. This isn't homosexual behavior, but pathological behavior resulting from trauma. There is quite a difference.
Cure, to most of these people is the ability to have a heterosexual relationship. ANYBODY can do that... even a homosexual. Many in my generation did so to escape the social stigma associated with loving those of the same sex. Many have had children with heterosexual partners. In the end though, they find that living a lie is damaging emotionally and spiritually.
In my case, I'm transgendered. I managed to live a lie and have a family. I'm not sorry that I did, but I knew all along that it was wrong for me. I tried reparative therapy. I realized though, finally, that it is impossible to change who I am. It simply can't be done. Anyone who claims to be able to do so is a complete fraudster.

reality is they only work to the extent they can brainwash a person into believing they ar ento gay. however since that type of brainwashing can really mess a person up, it does way more harm than good. Sort of like taking sulphuric acid to cure a cold.

...Most certainly God has the power to change gays, adulterers, fornicators, and anyone else - His sovereignty rules over all.
...The problem all too often is whether we wish to cooperate with Him. God expects our cooperation, which could mean attending meetings, avoiding areas where temptation is great, accountability to other believers, becoming a responsible, honest Christian, etc.
...Jesus doesn't just have someone turn over a new leaf; He gives new life, a regenerated life, which the world neither acknowledges or can understand.
...In 1 Corinthians 6, we read the following (and pay special attention to verse 11):
...9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
...10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
...11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
...SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. Sin can be forgiven and overcome in Jesus Christ. There is plenty of evidence for the objective seeker.

I'm gay, I was born that way! If people honestly had a choice wouldn't they choose the easier option... If God actually existed then i'm sure he has better things to do than worry himself with who i'm attracted to and have sex with! A Horse is born a Horse, you can paint stripes on it and put it in Africa but its not a bloody Zebra! Speaking of Africa, a church collapsed there killing 21 followers, maybe God was distracted by a bunch of gays when he should have been holding up that wall...

Ex-gay what a silly term, you can never deny your true self, if you were born gay, which most homosexuals are, then you will be forever gay, at least in the incarnation you are gay.
does God have the power to change a person from gay to straight?
Well if God has that kind of power then God can cure the cancer patients and the problems in Africa, since the problems are getting worse there the answer is obviously NO. Also, perhaps God made them gay so that closed minded prejudiced people whould accept something new into thier exclusive society of snobs?

Of course God is all powerful..........NOT! A gay person has a genetic disease thus far no one has been able to alter it. If a person has the will power he can abstain from sex and even force himself to have unnatural sex which in a homosexual case would be sex with a separate gender. But they are still gay and unhappy. xx
