Remember 1969, the first lunar landing. What scientist were worried about was the dust that was on the lunar surface. The earth and the moon are daily being covered with solar dust. But the moon, not having our atmosphere, would just have the dust accumalate. What NASA scientist did was design large landing pads, like snow shoes for the lander. And they made the air packs the astronauts carry dust proof. Our favorite Atheist scientist of the time, Carl Sagan, said he could picture the lander coming down for a soft landing, and disappearing in dust two miles thick. Nasa scientist believed the lunar surface to be covered by a thick layer of dust.

What the astronauts found was a dust layer only a couple of inches thick. According to dust accumaltion on collection plates which the astronauts left, this shows that the dust on the moon has only been accumalting for less than 10,000 years.

How do you explain the lack of dust if the moon is 4.5 billion years old?

Since Christians and Muslims expect the world will get worse before the End Times--before the Messianic Age--does that take away their incentive to make the world a better place? Wouldn't the prophecy that the world must get better to usher in the Messianic Age--as some Jews believe--better promote peace?

I'm about to turn 14. Only I am having trouble with something and I'm too scared to talk to my mom and dad! I almost talked to my sunday school teacher, but I'm scared she'll tell my mom and dad! Let me know if I can talk to you about it? I have been an honor roll student since I was born and now my grades are slipping because this thing is so hard to deal with!

When one searches for the truth as in the bible one can become very confused about who Jesus is. It is so divided amongst Christians. Even his name. I would like to hear a Jews point of view. I want to know who am I? Is there a God? How do I fit into the big picture, How do I come to know the truth with out being so confused.. I asked a question to a Christian they look for fault be fore they answer, in some cases not all I might say. The Christians who seem to be ok with me are the more liberal ones who do not judge before they look. I still would like to learn from a Rabbi things about the Bible, cause the did write it and seem to so far answer all my questions. I feel liberated and free not to be caught up in the dogma Christians tell me I need to know to be saved.. I can not find a Rabbi to teach me.

I very commonly hear a theist say on R&S:

'It takes just as much faith to believe in evolution than it does in god.'

Whether or not someone decides to believe in evolution is up to them, but I think they should at least have valid evidence to make the decision. I am not saying evolution is PROVEN, but it is a theory backed with such an overwhelming amount of evidence it can not be rationally challenged by even a dogmatic believer's mind if it is understood.

If you are one of the people who have a vague understanding of evolution like 'So your saying we came from monkeys...that's dumb.' ..I suggest you start here:

If you are believer who has a vague understanding of evolution, wants to skip the link and make a response like: 'Radioactive dating doesn't work. They date fossils by the layers, layers by the fossils'..or something to that effect please start with the 'back' button.

If you are a believer who had read the...

I mean to say that Jesus is a myth is unreasoanble and yet the loudest mouths who will foam at the mouth when speaking about it, try to pronounce themsleves eminently reasonable. I aways find that they are weak in intellect, they are perhaps strong in copying other mens words and ideas, but very weak in origianl ideas. This is the burden of unoriginal minds, little clones they are, while Christians will often speak for themselves and not always give uniform answers or supporting reasons, though they come to the same conclusions. It shows that we think , independently. Anyway, there is this person who has put as his name , "Jeebus is My Rectum". I don't know about you but I think this emotionally immature persons choice of name is brave on the internet but is probably pink on the inside. I think it is probably a perversity of some sort that motivates this kind of hate and profanity. Only a unclean , unwashed soul could speak like that and call themselves reasonable. What a joke.

genuine love for the Creator and what He has done? I think that becoming saved to escape hell is the wrong way to go about it because it is setting someone up as self serving. I know many people believe Christianity is based upon control and fear, but if Christianity is a reflection of the truth, then why do people base their judgments upon Christianity like that?

Left and trained in the ways of the Sith, and then returned and conquered the planet using my hordes of evil bug-raptors, and i was mutated to look like a sinister bipedal lizard, who would join me and who would be foolish enough to challenge my ultimate authority when I can break the neck of any being within seconds? But this foolish rebellion discovered that I had a tragic past and that was the reason I was evil, not because I enjoyed it.

So: would you join me to save your own skin or rebel to save freedom??

I ask this question because a lot of persons don't know it.

For muslims, Jesus didn't die he went up to God to waiting the good time for coming back in the earth.

For those who watched the movie of Mel Gibson the story is similar except that the man who brought the cross was the man whose been crucifiated, and Jesus has been saved by God.

I'Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the town
Not a sign of Baby Jesus
was anywhere to be found.
The people were all busy
with Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking,
and shopping in stores.
No one sang "Away in a manger,
no crib for a bed".
Instead, they sang of Santa
dressed-up in bright red.
Mama watched Martha Stewart ,
Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour
the presents they ' d wrap
When what from the T.V.
did they suddenly hear?
'Cept an ad.. which told
of a big sale at Sears .
So away to the mall
they all flew like a flash...
Buying things on credit...
and others with cash!
And, as they made their way home
From their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus ?
Oh, no... not at all.
Their lives were so busy
with their Christmas time things
No time to remember
Christ Jesus, the King.
There were presents to wrap
and cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember
who died for their sake

I know people that are very gifted and bold and spirit filled evangelists meaning they have a gift of preaching the world of Jesus and being bold in thier faith and through the Holy Spirit they lead others to Jesus and that is awesome.

I on the other hand do not have this gifting. I am an encourager and my husband is an exhorter and also has the gift of Mercy as well (I do too). I love the Lord Jesus and I am not ashamed of the gospel I pray all the time for others and write encouraging letters to people and I dont like seeing people excluded or left out of things.

My question is this How can I be a witness and a light with the spiriutal gifts I have even though I am not forward about it the way some are able to be?

For those of you that use your spirirutal giftings how do you share the love of Christ?

Thank you in advance for your answers and a Very Merry Christams to all of you.

Mithras was born December 25th
Mithras had 12 companions
Mithras was known as the lamb, messiah and the shepherd
Mithras' followers were babtized
Mithras' mother was a virgin
Mithras' at his birth was attended by shepherds
Mithras turned water into wine
Mithras died and was resurrected
Mithras was worshipped on a Sunday

If Mithras was worshipped before Jesus is this just a coincidence?

I once asked a Christian about Joshua 10 how God made the Sun stand still for a whole day . I asked,
“How could God have done that, Did he not brake the laws of physics“? There answer was he just did it. I said but it still would not make a difference in the length of a day cause the earth rotates on it’s axes to make a day, not the sun going around the earth. I was told that I had a devil. Much later in life I asked a Rabbi that same question, He said It meant it was a long day and that is how the authors of the bible spoke in those days with a colorful description of an event that may have happened. He also said you do not have a devil, rather you have a thirst for knowledge. Who should I believe? Who should I trust?
