The God that lives in us does not tell us what to think, in fact a true relationship with Christ has nothingto do with what we think. It has to do with Faith.

Christianity only becomes a religion when people create God in their own images.

I agree. I do not even like the word religion. Jesus wanted to free us form religions.Jesus wants us to have a personal relationship with God. We are here to learn to love one another.

If there is one thing to know about christianity, it is only about what christ taught on a superficial level. Todays christians dont really follow what he taught, or even know about what he supposedly taught. It is a religion, in all senses of the word.

re·li·gion /rɪˈlɪdʒən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ri-lij-uhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

It is definately that. A set of beliefs given to people to tell them how to think and how to go about living. I'm wondering how you think it ISNT a religion? maybe that is a better question.

It doesn't matter if you call it a religion or not; the main thing is do you believe in God, His Word, live a life pleasing to God, and others?

Christianity is my religion because I believe in God and I've accepted Christ as my savior. I can't explain why, really, except that its something I believe with all my heart and soul, and I've never known a deeper peace than I know now, as a Christian.

I'll pray for you!

Merry Christmas =)

Christianity is a way of life.
It should be treated as such when people try to remove parts of Christianity from public life.
Christians are discriminated against when these things happen.

Christianity is an institution-an edifice of dogma- constructed around the teachings of Christ. It doesn't necessarily reflect his teachings on compassion and tolerance.

You need to do some research.
Christ fought to go back to the olden days of judeism where wealth was not an issue to getting into heaven.

Whatever philosophy Jesus espoused has been converted into dogma, and the customs have grown into symbolic religious rituals. As it is practiced, it seems to fit any reasonable definition of religion we have.
