I saw a claymation Story of Jesus the other day and he was realisticaly depicted. A little on the homely side, dark skin Palestinian type man. An accurate one as I have ever seen.

An accurate one? You comparing to a photo or what? Jesus was serious. He was about His Father's business, which was no laughing matter. In fact, Jesus said that man would have to give account for every idle word out of his mouth. It cannot come soon enough to suit me. The evil in the world is well reflected on this page. I saw one once. I think my mom has it. He wasn't really laughing so much, but he was smiling very broadly, like he was happy about something. I also ask a question in response to your question...does it bother you when the Virgin Mary is depicted as a light skinned, blonde haired, blue eyed woman?

Cause every time Jesus encountered someone who didn't believe in him, he was not amused.
And it happened so often that he never got around to laughing at other stuff.

He was an ascetic who fasted regularly for long periods hence he was malnourished and probably suffering from vitamin deficiencies-no wonder he was depressed.
