It seem to me that most people who dont believe and make fun of God and Jesus, as well as other religions, seem to look at them all the same way. They seem to look at him as an invisible being who lives in the sky or in a heaven that cant be seen. We live on a planet where we are bound by beginnings and ends, life and death, cycles. I am not a scientologist, I am a christian, but how do we know that God and Heaven is not Galaxies away, and when you die your soul has to take a worm hole or a black hole to get there. Which scientists believe that worm holes could actually warp us across time, hence the tunnel of light some have claimed to see when they die. And our phisical bodies would just simply be torn apart like scientists say. God and his creatures like angels, could be an ancient, ancient civilization, in a parallel universe or galaxie that created us, and they are not bound by the same phisical laws we are. Has anyone ever heard of string theory? Look into string theory.

I am not sure what the details you added are about but I definitely agree with you that we need to be open-minded, tolerant and respectful to each other regardless of all differences, not only religious ones.

Peace

"Why in a universe so old and big, do we allow our thoughts to be so narrow and small? Tell me what you think?"

1) The "general public", "gp" is so ill informed and mislead that they simply don't know very much about the truth of human nature and the universe. We seem to be entering another, frightning dark age of intellectual vacuity where the gp could be lead to jump off a cliff if a t.v. show came on and said it was the next "smart" thing to do.
2) In the same context, the gp is made to focus solely upon their selves and their endless selfish needs to keep them "shopping" such that the economy grows forevermore. Those who dare say stop and look around you and open your minds to a different reality that doesn't emphasize endless consumption are immediately shouted down and vilified as idiots because they are a threat to the ecomic and social order. Thus the gp goes ever more into the darkness of total and invincible ignorance believing only what they are told to believe.

All the religions are the same.

I don't HAVE a soul. None of us do. We're nothing but a set of chemical reactions. "Soul" is a made up concept by theism.

See... the probability of a god existing is extremely low. That basically means a god existing has as much chance as existing as the flying spaghetti monster, purple unicorns, Thor, Aphrodite, etc. All have like .01% of being real. If they WERE real - I'd imagine the only plausible explanation is that they're in a parallel universe. (For me... they only exist in people's minds here on Earth.)

Nothing supernatural is needed to have created us. Natural Selection from Evolution created us.

Oh yeah... say that you god is not bound by the same physical laws as we are. As Richard Dawkins put it, "Well isn't that too easy?"

Congratulations on being the first person I've heard relate heaven and hell to string theory. You have to be a true believer to draw that line of reasoning.

Which seems a simpler explanation: mankind's impulse to personify the unknown, or a place called "hell" galaxies away? If you were a Pagan believer, would you assume that Poseidon might manipulate the sea through dark matter?

If I were to believe there might be a classroom filled with God's, and we were unlucky enough to get the God that is always teased by his classmates and as a revenge for that He does all sorts of horrible experimences at home with cute lttle planets...If I were to believe that, would you call it "narrow and small"? Or "blasphemy"?

The fact is: nobody knows how we came to existence. I'm perfectly happy in admitting that. I don't need a "Goddidit" as an answer to questions that can't be answered.

I recall of a story, imagine a flea living all it's life on the leaf of a huge tree. The flea is so small it's only existence is that leaf. That is the knowledge of man.

As we understand more of Quantum Mechanics, we will realize more how there are other places we cannot see where the spirit goes when we disincarnate from the physical world. Keep studying, the more you understand, the easier it will be for you when you return.
