All but one?

Or did you go that extra step and put that one out of the picture too?

I appreciate explanations for your position.

I watched the movie " the skeleton key" not too long ago and although a lot of it might be fiction but it does bring up a very interesting idea. That religion only affects a person when he belives in it. Otherwise it's "powers" is naught ?

[well...this question would be more for people that believe in the existence of God hehe...]
ok...first of all i know that the 10 conmmandments say that "You shall not kill", so...what about God sending you to kill, and I'm talking about the jews, after they left Egypt, they were guided by God to kill other people...bla bla bla...so..what makes them so different from people these days who use violence in the name of God against others? 0_o" I just dont get it...
God sended them to kill, but Jesus said that we should be compassive to others...anyways...
i want oppinions about this matter...anything would be helpful :D

Here we go again. The "moderate" Muslims are demonstrating against an honest Pope who says religion must be based on reason, not violence instead of demonstrating against radical Islamists who do the violence. Do they understand that their voices of "moderation" will never be heard until they stop supporting their murderous brothers?

The Holy Quran : Chapter: 24 (Al-Nur), Verse:36
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[24:36] God is the light of the heavens and the earth. His light is as if there were a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is inside a glass-globe. The globe is, as it were, a glittering star. The lamp is lit from the oil of a blessed tree -an olive - neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil well-nigh would shine forth even though fire touched it not. Light upon light! The Lord guides to His light whomsoever He pleases. And God sets forth parables for men, and God knows all things full well.

Muslims consider Christ a prophet, yet Mohammed didn't come on the scene until a few hundred years after Christ did. It doesn't seem reasonable to me that Mohammed would be solely responsible for Christ's exalted position in Islam - so the first people who became Muslim must already have thought quite highly of Christ, which implies to me that the first Muslims were converts from Christianity.

Anyone know the history? Looking for sober answers, not vitriol or bile.

Thanks.

If your religion says to harm none, to love your neighbor, then ask yourself, if I say something to another person that is mean and nasty; am I harming them, am I showing them love? Wither they deserve it or not, is not the question. The true question is; are you doing what your religion says you should do? Words can cut like a knife, if you are wielding that knife cruelly towards others; are you harming them?

If I believed that the universe was created by a large pink rabbit called Bernard and I consumed Coke and Snickers for my Holy Communion and hung upside down and screamed to pray, no-one would take me seriously. Religions such as Christianity and Islam are no different, how on earth can religion expect to be taken seriously?

Why separate God from science? I think God works through science, the science that you so firmly embrace. God is a part of everyone and everything, why not science too?

Since we are a "Client Nation" to God we represent Jesus Christ before Man.We as Christians have obviously failed miserably thus 9/11.We are alive and there is hope. The radical terrorists do not distinguish between Christians and the beloved unbeliever in Christ. They want to destroy all in America. We are under divine discipline. Save our nation. Use 1John1:9 (if we name our sins he is just and righteous to forvgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)and pray. 2nd Chronicles 7:14. -"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land." Our wicked ways is neglect of studying the Bible. The neglect of Praying. Become a prayer warrior. Devote time daily to the Bible. Pray for our President and his advisors, Pray for our troops, Pray for peace in Jerusalem. God loves you and "SODA I". Peace out.
