I would say we need to look at the past civilisations. Most the diseases and wars etc happend when the populations numbers where bigger then the society could handle. Earth has sent famines and great deseases which killed millions of people. So as the world is getting fuller and more negative, the earth will send either a great earthquark - see yellow stone part- or the weather will become more dangerous - see europe tornados - Or an idiot will say he can make it better all we have to is kill the rest - see world wars or a greant disease.
We are educating our child to realize that when it comes, and its coming, a pretty face will not save you. The ones which will survive are the ones who know how to survive in the wild.

As long as the world exists as we know it now there will be wars and rumors of wars. I have made peace with that.
See Matthew 24:5-7 and Mark 13: 6-8

Hopefully all the people who think there's no point in trying to save the world because the end of times is near will have keeled over, so the rest of us can make some real strides towards stopping all the nonsense.

Your answer would depend on the collective consciousness of the world. If human kind continues to focus on the life to come rather than on life as it is now, with no thought to the direction we are moving as a result of fundamentalist dogma, this world, this Eden, will be a wasteland.

I do not think we will be here in 50 years. At least not on Earth as we know it rather it will be a new Earth, and only God and His true believers will be here.

And how can some Chrisitans think it will all be magickly swept aside in one fell swoop... why do they deserve "heaven" when they don't lift a finger to clean up the mess we've all collectively made?

If we are still around in fifty years it will be by the grace of God... We have pushed him out of nearly every aspect of life to minimize our guilt for our sin... God only knows and his plan is unfolding as we sit here... God bless you...

THE BIBLE SAYS, TEACH YOUR CHILDREN IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO AND IN OLD AGE THEY WILL DEPART FROM IT,
IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS PARENTS,TO TEACH OUR
CHILDREN TO BE GOOD CITIZENS , NOT SOCIETY,JESUS CHANGED THE WORLD THE DISCIPLES CHANGED THE WORLD AS MAN KNEW IT, I SAY WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT . FOR IF GOD IS FOR US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US.
