I Think while they were being shown the way, they got lost. I believe the Jews were supposed to follow Christ but a bunch of 'em were stubborn and didn't believe Jesus was the Messiah - it's like they're still waiting around for some proof ... like water to wine, walking on water, making the blind see ... like that stuff wasn't proof enough!
