I watched the movie " the skeleton key" not too long ago and although a lot of it might be fiction but it does bring up a very interesting idea. That religion only affects a person when he belives in it. Otherwise it's "powers" is naught ?

A lot of you assume that the God the Christians pray too is the real one...while I do not want to debate on whether that is true or not, could it be that Christianity too works the same way ? like an answerer said like " if your prayer is not answered then you do not have enough faith ?

And the reason behind the need to evanglize is to convince others to believe whatever one believes so that he/she too may be affected in the same way one is ?

Yes, I think there is merit to what you say. I think a lot of it might have to do with the hidden powers of our own minds, and the effectiveness of things like visualization and imagination. The person may not realize that they are only visualizing or imagining a supernatural presence or belief, but that might be what they are doing. And the very fact that they don't realize they are imagining it is what makes it even more effective.

This is a good question. I think it’s when you believe, people believe in things and it’s working for them. If you believe a religion can affect your life and do what that religion asks you to do you will become a spiritual hero in such religion, even the bible for the Christians mentioned it where it said “according to work, Abraham would have got something to show but not before God but he believed (had faith) in God and it was accounted unto him as righteousness. I have always believe in God and the fellowship of Christ and it’s been working for me…thank you.

You're gonna get a lot of conflicting answers on this one.
My answer: God is a work all the time whether one believes in Him or not. He can and does arrange people's lives sometimes to suit His plan, so unbelievers can be affected by God as well.

Yes you must believe. Unreligious example, The only thing that makes the US dollar valuable is the fact that we believe in the value of it. If we stopped believing that the dollar was worth anything it would be just a worthless piece of paper.
All you must have to come to the knowledge of Christ is faith the size of a grain of mustard seed. Believe that Jesus died on the cross to wash away your sin and rose again. Ask Him to forgive you, live in your heart, change your life and be the Lord of your life and He will! Seeing is not believing! Believing is Seeing! He is alive and longs for you to come to the knowledge of Him.

Forget religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

There is only one True God, and That is the Almighty God. There is only one Savior, and that Is Jesus, and He is the only way to have eternal life in heaven. All other "religions" are counterfits of satan. You either believe in God and in His son Jesus and go to Heaven, or you don't and go to hell.

Then it is a poor religion. Maybe what really happens, people try to belive so hard, they are making things happen. Not a god, but themselves.

My friend, that is true of everything. Not just religion. Once you internalize something as "truth" you creatively operate from that position. That impacts everything in your world.
