Religions can't be taken seriously. Their intangibility causes too much agony among the masses.
Oh, Bernard! I pray to thee!

Coke and Snickers sounds good--I mean, hey: if you're the Son of God would you rather taste like chocolate or cardboard?
Christianity and Islam are different in that they have a whole fleshed-out mythology behind them. I'm trying to figure out if you're here to bash all religion, just these two, or what. You didn't mention anything about Jews, Wiccans, Buddhists, Hindus--and I don't find any of those inherently any more or less believable than Christianity and Islam.
Religion isn't MEANT to be taken seriously by others. It is--or should be--a personal choice, not thrust on you by others and certainly not something you force down people's throats. I say if worshiping Bernard makes you happy and you feel a spiritual connection there, go for it.

Hey, we're not the ones "consuming coke and snickers" and hanging upside down. I happen to like rabbit's, but if you dyed one pink I think you'd have some problems with SPCA...
Point being, if you want us to respect your "opinion" on how the world began, then you need to respect ours. It's not like any of us were there to see what happened.
We like to believe that there was some intelligent thought put into us. It's our respect for everything around us that just screams it couldn't have been "by chance". Your opinion, let me guess, is that certain "chemicals" or goo just happened to be in the right place at the right time, both appearing from nowhere by the way, creating an atom and or a cell which eventually evolved into us?
I can see your point of view on religion, but you have to be reasonable - even if you don't believe in God, both sides of the coin can be just as "magical" looking.

Christianity is not as you think, it is a relationship with God Almighty; those who believe in the foolishness of evolution are not to be taken seriously either, evolutionist believe that we came from monkeys and the galaxy exploded to create life, that is like saying "there was an explosion in a scrap yard and it created a fully assembled 747 jet," such a statement is absolutly foolish, not only this but, Albert Einstien, Thomas Jefferson, BenjaminFranklin, Sir Issac Newton, Thomas Edison, George Washington, and many others all believed in God and practised their faith regulary, so if they can be taken seriously, why can't we?

It's not religion that expectes to be taken seriously; it's God. It's all about faith, which is all about belief in the unseen and unproven. Those of us who believe have a very different view on things than you do. If you really want to understand how each belief system is taken seriously by so many, you need to get into their scriptures, and talk with their disciples with an open and accepting heart.

I would take you seriously, I realize that today's modern religion tends to lead to questions like this and l can only pray that the Christian examples out there raise the bar more.. I honestly believe that if you knew some real, and l mean real, Christians you might not be so quick to insult them like this.. I'm sorry you are bitter, God bless you...

Try re-mixing your drug combination because it really isn't working for you today. I can not force you to beleive how I believe nor can you force me to unbelieve. I think those religions you mentioned are just a tad different from your pink bunny senerio. But hey your hear just to bash religion in general right? So now do you feel better?

If your vision of the pink rabbit was inspired by divine manifestation, witnessed by others, and recorded for posterity, then it would and should be taken seriously.
