To combat the gay and lesbian movement. Your scripture denounces it does it not? Is it not an abomination unto your Lord? Should not the gays and lesbians perish as those of Sodom and Gamorrah?

A friend of mine believes in Holy Trinity but in a different way.
He believes that God The Father and Jesus are less powerful than the Third Person of Holy Trinity or Holy Spirit. He even sometimes
speak ill of them. But he made an idol of a half-human half-dove
after replacing it with an idol of Jesus in the cross and an idol of God The Father with white beard and a triangular hat. He worships the idol of Holy Spirit now. Is it ok?

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Matt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

There are so many contradictions and mistakes within the text, it is not possible that the angel Gabriel gave this book to Muhammed.

It's plain to see.. from grammatical/spelling errors in the Arabic to out right contradictions of the Bible (which the Quran claims not to contradict).

How is this so?

How can this book come from heaven and be filled with so many errors?

For instance it is written within the Quran that it cannot be translated into any other language. But it clearly has been... one of many glaring errors.

If Islam is the path to salvation... God's word must be imperfect.

"Requiem Mass for the Living Dead"
Night has bloomed, with blossoms red/
Bleeding gloom inside my head/
Broken tombs and screaming dead/
torture looms,grows like your dread

I epitomize you/
I loathe and despise you/
I'll brutalize you/
and synthesize you/

Wake the dead, so we can sleep, while we're bled ,from eyes that weep/
lying lips prove talk is cheap, sew them shut so we can sleep in peace/

Requiescat in Pace, rest in peace

rest in peace ,you living dead/
dreams of murder filled your head/
as you wept from eyes that bled/
spread open on torture beds/

broken down,to be reborn/
pierce the flesh, scarred and torn/
is your face, a mask of scorn/
twisted as your crown of thorns/

Requiescat in Pace, rest in peace/

living death is Death denied/
Misery alone abides/
Tragedy's eternal tides/
Kill our thoughts, so we can rest in peace/
Requiescat in Pace, rest in peace, Requiescat in Pace, rest in peace. End

Does he need to work in secrecy or can he do ALL His work out in the open? Is there any reason that God's work can't stand the light of day? I know there are several temple ceremonies that are secret from the rest of the religeous world. You can read about many of them on the internet. I know who has to do his work in secret and it is'nt Jesus. Joseph Smith had many of his wives keep secret from their families and friends the fact that he had married them. Some were already married to other men. This would naturaly cause lies and deception. Is this how a good and loving God operates?

Like this statement which says death is nothing to the dead or to the living

I believe this is true because because when you are dead you are unaware that you are dead so it doesnt matter to you. And when you think of the living as not being the dead person's family someone who has never met the deceased. it would mean nothing to them say for instance you found out some random person has died would you care? it would probably mean nothing to you.

But I still don't think death is nothing because my grandmother who was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer she was not dead but she knew she was going to die and it was something that she did not want to do. So in this case she would be considered the living who is about to approach death and she didnt think that since she will be dead she would not be aware that she is dead so why should she not want to die.

Sometimes when I'm knocking about, I hear the nuttiest most crazy and satanic things come out of peoples mouths, and I pray, "Jesus, am I the last Christian on the planet?"

But I think the truth is that satan likes for us to feel alone--but truly we are not. Just like you, many Christians:

*Love God
*Pray for Peace
*Hate Injustice
*Love to laugh
*Comfort the Mourning
*Get frustrated with family
*Feel alone in the workplace
*Sit and wonder at the weirdness of hollywood
*Believe in God, heaven and angels
*Know that God's word is STILL true, and that yes, he is STILL coming from on High to take us into Glory
*Know that Jesus was God, manifest in the flesh, crucified for the sins of men.

I said this to encourage you, me, all of us. We may never meet on this side, but your fellow Christians are everywhere--in every country as:

Lights on the Narrow Path
The Salt of the Earth
Children of God

Godbless

I know when we got married, the church was very anamate that we were not living together before the wedding. My friend got married about a year later to a guy she was living with, and every church she talked to (including mine) wanted them to live apart for six months before they'd marry them. (they got married by a Justice of the Peace) My brother and his finacee are living together now, and plan to get married in a Catholic church. They claim they've never been asked for her address. Is this common? Is it a "don't ask, don't tell" thing?

What should I do about my parents?
I am 22 and engaged to a girl that I met on True.com. We met 2 months ago. Yes, I know that this is fast, but we have both prayed about this and we know that this is right. The problem is my parents. They are seperated and do not get along very well. They are furious with me for being engaged. It is not only the fact that we met online. They think she is a loser and has no ambition because she had to drop out of high school to take care of herself. She is 19 and she plans to get her GED. They are also mad because she has no drivers license. She is getting that, in fact we went to the highway patrol office just today and got her a study book. My mom is telling my dad things that are not true about my fiancee. For example she told him that she told her that education means nothing to her. She never said anything remotely close to this. I was sitting right there when this supposedly happened.

Examples:

Jesus as divine. they used to think not (which I agree with)
Priests marrying: Now it's forbidden, but it used to be accepted (even Peter)
Indulgences: If you were afraid to come to hell for something you had done, you could buy indulgences and everything would go back to normal. For $$$.
Bible edits: Over time the bible has had many chapters changed, added, omitted.

As we all know, millions or billions of people die and are dust already. If there is heaven or life after death, and they say we have souls, then where do they go, if there is heaven, then heaven must be that huge enough to accomodate all those souls. Just curious.

Is it the lack of evidence? Or the way His followers present Him?

Of course this is a nonsensical question. I don't live in the USA but I am reading on this forum all sorts of questions about American holidays and the use of words. I simply don't understand that debate.

Why does it matter if an Atheist celebrates Christmas? Why does it matter if a Muslim celebrates Thanksgiving? Why does it matter if an Atheist says OMG? Why does it matter if a Christian uses the word Thursday, and with that honors Thor? Why does it matter if Easter was originally a Pagan Holiday?

Why can't we just simply celebrate things together, no matter what the reason is?
