I grew up in a Catholic home, church going every sunday, babtised before I saw the truth. Yet, it seems that it is a must to confess to a priest or ones soul is tainted. Is this a form of fear tactic used by Catholics to keep the sheep in place.

Did God ever choose his character or his moral standards? Does God ever know what it is to make a choice? If he has perfect foreknowlege of everything, then it stands to reason that there are no choices for him to make.

It seems that you must Obey God to go to the Kingdom of Heaven. So what does that mean as far as free will? It's not much of free will, but more of a choice between eternal damnation or forever salvation. Salvation through fear and submission.

Earlier i received replies that some muslim leaders(not all) have issued fatwas for the death of infidels.

As a muslim leaders, they represent the face of Islam and they must have had support of many muslims to become leaders.

As a muslim, you have to follow the Fatwas. If you do not follow then you are sinning.

I am an unbeliever and thus i am regarded an infidel. Will you kill me when i have done you no harm and wished you well ?

A simple yes or no would suffice

I am susposed to get confirmed this year, but I really don't want to. I feel that I don't support, mostly all of the church's views, including abortion, and stem cell research and gay people. I wanted to belong to the Religious Society of Friends, since they are more accepting of all, but how do I tell my parents?

Reach out and touch faith

Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who cares
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who's there

Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer
Take second best
Put me to the test
Things on your chest
You need to confess
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Reach out and touch faith
Reach out and touch faith

Your own personal Jesus...

Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Reach out and touch faith
Your own personal Jesus
Reach out and touch faith

I recently posted a question and referred to a group as RADICAL ISLAM. One muslim answered and said I should not call this group "radical islam" because their violence and terrorism proved that they were not truly muslim. He felt I was creating a category called "radical islam" that actually doesn't exist because one cannot be truly a muslim and also be radicalized and violent. He was offended by my use of this term.

After reading his answer I can see how he would be offended. Problem is, how does one refer to this group of terrorists who use violence to achieve their ends without offending true muslims. What should we call this group in discussions so as to be able to identify who we are talking about without offending true muslims?

Not trying to judge. Just really want to know. Please no angry responses.

Emo - short for emotional
It has been in the trend now especially for the youth. And even Christians are embracing this trend. The music, styles, hair, attitude, everything about emo christians seem to enjoy it too.
But I find emo so gothic and satanic. This is just my own opinion. Is emo right /good for christians? Thanks guys and Godbless

this is from one of their awake! magazines. i wish more christians thought like this.

"Jehovah's Witnesses are politically neutral. They respect the right of government to make and enforce laws. (Romans 13:1-7) They do not violate their Christian neutrality by supporting the efforts of Fundamentalist groups that try to establish civil laws that would force others adopt Bible standards. (John 18:36)

is that why the rest of you christians hate them?
