Sometimes when I'm knocking about, I hear the nuttiest most crazy and satanic things come out of peoples mouths, and I pray, "Jesus, am I the last Christian on the planet?"

But I think the truth is that satan likes for us to feel alone--but truly we are not. Just like you, many Christians:

*Love God
*Pray for Peace
*Hate Injustice
*Love to laugh
*Comfort the Mourning
*Get frustrated with family
*Feel alone in the workplace
*Sit and wonder at the weirdness of hollywood
*Believe in God, heaven and angels
*Know that God's word is STILL true, and that yes, he is STILL coming from on High to take us into Glory
*Know that Jesus was God, manifest in the flesh, crucified for the sins of men.

I said this to encourage you, me, all of us. We may never meet on this side, but your fellow Christians are everywhere--in every country as:

Lights on the Narrow Path
The Salt of the Earth
Children of God

I always fall back on the fact that I am never alone,
and He is working out His plan in my life.

Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

You are a zealous believer. However, Satan wants to disappoint you by making you see the empty part of the cup. We are all human beings and we can be perfect. Yet the way to perfection is full of ups and downs. We can err, mistake and sin seventy seven times per day and our greatness lies in that we can rise up again and learn more from our downs than from our ups. Don't get angry or frustrated when people are different from the way you want them to be, God has created not only you but also many who can never be just one copy. You can help people to learn from their mistakes not by chidding them but by supporting them.

Yes, even as a Christian I get discouraged. But then, wouldn't you feel that way if you've been trying to get a job for 4 years and haven't been able to? Especially with all the love and faith I have in my Lord, I do have my moments of wonding 'why.'

No matter how deep your faith, we all get discouraged at times. And I think that this is by design. We must never forget that the Earth is Satan's domain, and he will do everything in his power to undermine our spirituality and our relationship with Jesus. With every breath we are at war with the evil one. I find my peace by reading the Bible and absorbing myself in God's word.

RIGHT ON! That is soooo cool of you!! I hope we can all realize that we need to start working if we want more Christians in this world! (And no, that does not mean we are going to shove our religion in their face and push them toward something they may not be ready for yet)
