I go to a Christian school that is run by a very modest family. They don't believe teen boy and girls should really interact because of their raging hormones! I'm the only 12th grader at the school and the people closest to my age are 2 10th graders! I'm so fed up with the people their and the education really stinks because no one is really able to TEACH me the information! I'm thinking about going to the Adult High School at the community college to graduate. All I would have to pay for is my books and you work at your own pace! At the school I'm at now we pay for tuition, books, and uniforms for an education that's not really worth it! I'm just not sure what I should do because I'm worried about getting back into the public schooling system verses Christian?

Read Matt the 2nd chapter. The star appeared and moved, the "wise men" followed it. First it led them to an evil king named Herod. He questioned them to assertain why they were there. The star waited. Herod slyly told them to go on and find the child (Jesus), that he also wanted to worship him, to return with his whereabouts. The star moved and led them to the home (not a stable like the xmas nativity scenes depict) where Jesus as a young child was living. They gave their gifts and slept. During sleep an Angel warns them to not return to the king, he wants to kill Jesus. They go home a different route. The angel also tells Joseph to take his family and escape to Egypt, he does. Herod knows his plot has been disrupted and in a rage sends his soldiers out to kill all baby boys in the district under the age of 2 (fulfillment of prophecy). God had to intervene to save his son. So..who put that star in the sky? Satan is referred to as an angel of light...(2 Cor 11:14)
What do you think?

I am a vegetarian and I am no saint but I would never think of eating meat so I don't think that would make me more merciful than Jesus. does it? Meat eating supports animal slaughter and there is no killing in heaven is there?

Wouldn't we all be inbred? This is definitly so, therefore, undesirable characteristics would show through more frequently in the human phenotype. What is the Christian explanation of why this has not occured?

Someone told me this is "the" book studied by English-speaking Muslims -- considered by many Muslims as a reliable, academic, and generally accurage account of Mohammed's life. Is this the general view among Muslims?

Also, if you have read the book, what are your views?

Given that his entire life has been exposed as a fraud, what do you think the chances are that Rev. Haggard will give back all the money that he "raised" from his followers?

And it sure looks like it was a lot of money. He was driving a fancy-smancy car while dodging reporters questions on Saturday. His house looked pretty snazzy too :-) But I'm sure that can be justified, because I've been hearing from Evangelicals lately that Jesus wants us to be wealthy too. Imagine that.

Has anyone ever seen an AUDIT for that church? Just curious...

Separation of church and state gives us the right to pray all we want in school and in government -- anywhere -- precisely because no representative of the state/school (teacher, etc.) can endorse a particular practice like prayer. YOU then have the freedom to practive your religion ANYWHERE - in school, government, etc. -- BECAUSE of this principle. Why do many many many people misunderstand this?

Light exists. There is a planet called sun that produces light and sends it to us. Darkness does not exist. There is no planet sending us darkness. Darkness is just the lack of light. Can we assume in the same line of thinking that goodness exists and that what we call evil is just the lack of goodness?

I think it's crap, because I've been in the scene since i was 7. I now play bass for a death/progressive/NWBHM (New Wave British Heavy Metal) band. No one i know actually believes in satanism, it's just that fans like to listen to the music that confronts it.
That's my view at least.
(Keep in mind, other genres "rap" cause way more cultural problems)

We both beleive in a higher power, in a heavan, we may disagree with satin and hell but you condemn us and call us evil. FWY we have a wiccan rede witch restricts our use of magic to positive energy, we do not belive in harming anyone!!!! and we certainly do not worship the devil, we don't beleive that there is such a thing! So stop calling us Evil because we arent!
