I'm a fundamental Christian who support adult stem cell research & umbilical stem cell research, but not embryonic stem cell research. Adult stem cells are where ALL the cures have been found. Not a single one from embryos yet! http://www.cbhd.org/resources/stemcells/mcconchie_2004-06-16.htm

This is what gets me.
Save the trees, kill the babies.
kill the babies with a possibility.
I am sorry, but the ends does not justify the means. I could not in good conscience go along with something that is not proven and even if it were at the expense of thousands upon thousands of lives.
Remember, to get those precious stem cells you have to create a life to then end it.
Does not sound like a good trade to me.

The person that says the adult stem cells are the ones getting cures and not the embryonic is just an idiot...
The only difference between the embryonic and the adult stem cells is that EMBRYONIC stem cells are MORE CAPABLE. Anything that the adult stem cells can do, so can embryonic...
The adult stem cells are only capable of becoming certain types of other cells... Embryonic cells can become ANY cell...

Actually, i don't see the problem here. If they do stem research to get a cure, what is the difference between that and a Christian or anybody going for a heart, liver, lung, kidney transplant?
I don't understand their platform, but then, I havn't and won't listen to it anytime soon either.
Cloning? I'm not for it. But then. Who am I? If cloning is not permitted by God, I assure you, YOU won't be cloned. Period. hahahah
Good Q*.

...wouldn't they cease to be fundamental Christians if they supported stem cell research?
