Read Matt the 2nd chapter. The star appeared and moved, the "wise men" followed it. First it led them to an evil king named Herod. He questioned them to assertain why they were there. The star waited. Herod slyly told them to go on and find the child (Jesus), that he also wanted to worship him, to return with his whereabouts. The star moved and led them to the home (not a stable like the xmas nativity scenes depict) where Jesus as a young child was living. They gave their gifts and slept. During sleep an Angel warns them to not return to the king, he wants to kill Jesus. They go home a different route. The angel also tells Joseph to take his family and escape to Egypt, he does. Herod knows his plot has been disrupted and in a rage sends his soldiers out to kill all baby boys in the district under the age of 2 (fulfillment of prophecy). God had to intervene to save his son. So..who put that star in the sky? Satan is referred to as an angel of light...(2 Cor 11:14)
What do you think?

YES, YES YES, you go girl!!! That is a very good question and point you are making. You have studied! I remember when I first learned that...it made all the sense and really made me see things in a different (bright real) light! Good, especially this time of year.

Satan is the one who put the star there, he used it in an attempt to destroy Jesus. The so called wise men were astrologers from the East, Maggie, from the land of Persia I believe. These type of people God says to avoid so why would God bring them to his Son, and if you read in the account of Jesus' birth, God sent angels to shepherds in the fields attending their flocks to tell His people of the birth of their savior. Also when the Maggie found Jesus, he was not in the manger any longer but in a house and was a young infant not a baby, approximately two years old, this is why Herod had all young males from the age two and under killed, because he came up with this age according to what the astrologers,Maggie, told king Herod about the star they mentioned seeing in the sky.

To Robin W. If God had killed King Herod or warned the father and mom or kept all those different boy toddlers, he does not have come to earth to stay between his toddlers to save them with Grace & the international will be suitable, so no want for him. There would were no want for Moses or the Ark, no want for a bible. We, as Christian, have loose will & at the instantaneous are not slaves to his needs. this type we seek for a relationship with him, in prayer. In having that relationship, we seek for him in all issues, both huge & small. We placed him first, keep in mind, God is a jealous God & placed not something till now him. In different words, do not placed your activity, your abode, your acquaintances, you relations, your $$$$, not something is going till now God.
