Harmless. And not terribly fun, unless someone playing is a good cheater.

Evil portal.
It deals with the occult - speaking with spirits, not something anyone should be messing around with. How did it ever became a "child's game"?
For those who say that witch craft is not real, they are mistaken.
Deuteronomy 18:9-12
When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you.

No, no such thing as witchcraft. It's just a game where someone is either willingly or unknowingly fooling you. Look up 'ideomotor effect' for how it works. You don't know you're moving the plancard, but you are.
So it's pretty much useless. Have fun with a friend by spelling out 'death' over and over or something. People here will tell you you shouldn't play with it because it will call up 'evil spirits' or the devil - all superstition. There's no such thing.

Look up when this board was made. Personally, I feel it's mostly harmless, though if someone were "wicked" enough to really mess with someone else's mind it wouldn't be all that harmless.
The board isn't all that old at all and, it's my understanding, that it was made by a "Spiritualist".
There is nothing occult about it. Occult means hidden... and there is nothing hidden about Ouija boards. To say so only shows that the person can only repeat propaganda.

There has been a survey on how obtaining knowledge from the spirit world has been linked to certain forms of schizophrenia that indicate demonic forces. With the ways of obtaining knowledge from the spirit world on the top and on the bottom were those symptoms and it was found that generally the people who scored high on the top scored high on the bottom.
God gave us the ability to get guidance on how to live our lives at first it may seem hard but if we devote ourselves to him it will come.

In it's current form it started out as a 19th century parlor game. The name was added in 1901 and is from the French and German words for "yes", "oui" and "ja". The occultist Alester Crowley used them in some of his rituals, which gave them a "mystical" credential, but they remain, in my own experience at least, as just what they started out.

Neither. A game no doubt as there is nothing in the great beyond to contact but evil because people who believe that cr-p can get themselves all worked up and scared.

There is an old saying, don't borrow trouble. I don't think it's wise to play around with things of the occult, no matter how harmless you think they might be. The occult is the playground of satan....and he's always looking for an opening.
