Someone pointed out that:

That's an interesting take, and I wish to expand on that. If Abraham *knew* that God would either raise Isaac or not require the sacrifice, then is Abraham's sacrifice worthy? Is it really a sacrifice if you strongly suspect that God would take care of the situation?

Some have questioned if Jesus Christ truly sacrificed himself since he knew that his father would take care of matters. Did he sacrifice himself if he knew that he would be safe, after all? Is it a greater sacrifice if he had no idea what God had in mind?

As a variant of that question, would you sacrifice your child if your god told you to, thinking he'd be lost forever?

The moral foundation of 90% of America is Christianty. Almost all Leftists are also Christian. While its true that conservatives chose a 'metaphoric' interpretation of Christian pacifist doctrines (turn the other cheek), leftist apply all Christian pacifist doctrines literally.

Leftist dominance of mainstream media keeps this pacifist vulnerablity constantly in the public eye such that the average American's moral outlook basically weighs saftey beneath 'tolerance'.

All the while, the reality of evolution has produced Islam, and in many ways, its a near perfect predator. Dont believe me? Machvellian analysis:

Growth Doctrines: Apostates (people who leave Islam) are murdered or at minumum, are entirely disowned by family; Men can marry non-muslim woman if kids are Muslim; Your allowed many wives for max breeding.

Jihad:(Quran) Kill all unbelievers 9:29; Reward if you kill them 4:74; Hating them for unbelief is excellent 60:4; Jihad is mandatory 2.216.

I used to be a member of an Evangelical free church and seems to me that group did not fit with the definition people here on this site often seem to place on evangelicals. Was it just that church or am I right in thinking there is a fairly large differance.

A dogs instinct will tell him to take a crap anywhere he stands. But they dont $hit inside of a house. Why? Free will. An ape can use sign language and have conversations, why? free will. Free will is a terrible excuse christians use to explain sin. Free will is a characteristic of living animals, not a super power giving by god to test whether you should get everything you've ever wanted in heaven or burn in a lake of fire for eternity.

3. dont trust yourself, trust god

I acknowledge that's a rather loaded question, but I am going to be honest: I get the feeling that many right-wing religious groups, leaders, and politicians fixate on small passages of the Old Testament -- the parts having to do with homosexuality -- rather than working on what Jesus himself preached: dressing the naked, feeding the hungry, feeding the sick, loving your neighbor, doing unto others, etc. Is that the reality or a distortion of the media? And if it is the reality, why?

the bible is cruel to woman eg when a woman gives birth to girls she is unclean for 14 days and giving birth to boys she is unclean for 7 days. Why the differance.
